Chapter Two Larkspur found her sister Hazel watching Tam Dappleward and Rauf Ironfist train with wooden staves. “Hazel?” Hazel glanced at her, grinning. “Poor Tam. Ironfist is slaughtering him.” And then her grin became wider. “And once he’s finished with Tam, Ironfist is going to teach me.” Larkspur nodded. “Hazel, I’m going riding with Cadoc.” A loud clatter of staves drew Hazel’s attention back to the combatants.
