Harrison stared at Elena as she treated his wounds.
He reminded himself that sooner or later, she would be out of his life.
“Is it painful?”, she asked and he shook his head even though he was in deep pain.
She thought of telling Harrison about the message she received but she decided not to tell him about it since it was not the right time.
“My friend will leave here, for now, he’s in a bad condition.”, he said to her.
“He didn’t even ask for permission, he is telling me.”, Elena said angrily in her mind.
“Ok.”, she replied half-heartedly.
Whoever that friend is, she hated him already.
“ You said you went to meet Ariana, what did you talk about?”, he asked as soon as she finished with his wound.
“Nothing much- She said that she needs another chance because she offended you”, Elena replied and she watched his expression closely.
He had a calm face naturally and that makes his expression to be hard to know.
Elena spoke up when Harrison refused to say a word.
“What happened to you? I want to know how you were in Russia”, she said but still no word from Harrison.
“You don’t need to know, you are just here with me for the main time anyways”, he said icily.
“What do you mean by I am just here for the main time?”
“You are still going to choose Jason just like you did before since he is the one you like.”, he answered.
Elena opened her mouth to say something but didn’t.
She confidently chose Jason but she wasn’t sure anymore.
# Next day
Elena was on her way to get parents' house.
She looked very calm until the driver informed her that they were being followed.
She had decided to take one of Harrison’s cars but she went with the driver.
“Who do you think is following us?”, she asked confused.
She thought over and over and she remembered not offending anyone.
Then the remembered the text message she had received and fear gripped her.
“Is this how I am going to die?”, she wondered.
She thought of calling someone but she was too afraid to do anything. She just prayed silently.
The driver tried his best to drive faster but the car following them caught up with him and Elena thought that was the end of her life.
Three men came out of the car and dragged her out of the car.
The driver tried to protect her but they hit him with something Elena didn’t recognize and he backed out.
She tried to scream but instead, a piece of cloth was placed on her nose and she closed her eyes slowly.

Harrison got to come from the hospital where Sammy was admitted.
Just as he said, he brought Sammy to be living with them. He wanted to keep a close watch and since he was already recognized by the black jaguars, his life is still in danger.
The mansion was so quiet and he wondered why because if Elena was around, she would be in the living room because she was scared of being the only person at home.
“I’ll finally have the chance to see the person who finally stole your heart since I was unable to come for your wedding.”, Sammy said smiling but Harrison only glared.
“We’ll soon go our separate ways, I can’t afford to put her life in danger after putting yours in danger.”, he replied.
“Why did they find out the truth about you being a spy?”
“I don’t know either…. But I think they were informed or something, I wasn’t given a chance to explain myself, they were too sure of whatever they were informed”
“I think we still haven’t gotten rid of all our spies yet.”, Harrison said and Sammy nodded.
Harrison checked the time and it was getting late but he didn’t see Elena. He was tempted to call her but he didn’t want Sammy to think he cares for her.
“Maybe she’s with Jason.”, he assumed and went to bed.
He sat and stared at his laptop trying to do some of his work before tomorrow but his mind wasn’t on what he was doing.
He walked to his Window and he stared at nothing.
The knock-on his door diverted his attention. He walked to the door hoping that it was Elena but to his greatest disappointment she wasn’t.
“Why are you so disappointed to see me? Were you in any way hoping I was Elen?”, Sammy asked seeing the look on his face but Harrison only rolled his eyes.
“Elena not Elen.”
“Sorry.”, he muttered.
“Why are you here?”
“I just thought you wanted me to sleep here with you since you have insomnia and you always wanted me around”, he said.
“There’s no need for that, I can handle myself, I’m not a kid anymore,” Harrison replied.
“I have missed you, I wonder why you have been leaving since we separated.”
“You don’t need to worry anymore”, he replied.
“Do you still have nightmares?”
“Go back to sleep, you don’t have to worry.”, he said pushing Sammy slightly towards his door.
“If you …”, Sammy was saying before Harrison cut in.
“Thank you- Goodnight”, he said and closed the door on his face.
It was in the morning and Elena was yet to be seen. Harrison had managed not to worry about her throughout yesterday.
Though he didn’t want to care about her one part of him does and Sammy noticed but said nothing.
Harrison tried her number many times but it was switched off.
He kept pacing around the house restlessly.
“What if something bad happened to her or the same thing that happened to Sara happens to her?”
“Just calm down, be positive.”, Sammy said to the restless Harrison.
Harrison heard a knock and he opened the door and the driver came in looking devastated.
“What happened to you? Do you know where Elena went to?”, he asked impatiently.
“S-she was kidnapped, I was driving her and a car overtook us and knocked me down and took her”, he explained.
“K…kidnapped!!!”, was the only word that kept ringing in his ears.
“Was it so hard to protect someone, what use are you then?”
“Am sorry sir, I was careless.”, he said on his knees because he knew that Harrison was angry and his actions are unpredictable.
Elena was chained to a chair and was blindfolded.
She has been in that position since she was abducted.
“Please don’t kill me! I’ll give you anything you want.” She pleaded in tears when she heard some footsteps.
She has been begging since yesterday but no one was talking to her.
“Please if I have offended you, forgive me. Don’t kill me.”, she said in tears.
“I don’t want you dead now but I will get rid of you anytime I want”, the person said but judging from the voice.
It was a female.
“Please don’t get rid of me, I will do anything you want.”
“Stay away from Harrison cos he’s mine. He never belonged to you and he will never be long to you, so don’t stay between us.”, she said.
“But who are you?”
“I am someone you don’t need to know, for now, I will reveal myself at the appointed time”, she replied smirking.
Is that clear?”, she shouted pulling Elena’s hair.
“Yes- yes”, Elena nodded severally trying not to tear up.

Harrison dialled Ryan’s number furiously and he picked at the third ring.
“What’d you do to Elena?”, he asked furiously.
“I don’t understand what you are talking about?” He denied and Harrison scoffed.
“Return Elena to me or you’d regret what I will do next. Nothing must happen to her or else you will keep regretting “, he threatened but Ryan only laughed.
“I live challenges”, he replied.
“I am warning you- nothing must happen to her”, he said in a fuss and cut the line.
Harrison ruffled his hair frustrated, he doesn’t even know where he should look for her.
He knew that it was possible for Ryan to kidnap her to kill her since he knows that Jason likes her.
He had killed Sara because he wasn’t ready to let go of her.
“I don’t know what I would do if anything happens to Elena.”, he said to Sammy almost in tears.
“Nothing will happen to her”, Sammy assured him but he wasn’t convinced.
Harrison received a message saying “Come get Elena in front of your warehouse at 2 pm”
He checked the time and it was past 1. He took his keys and Sammy offered to accompany him to follow him, he declined but he was persistent.
Harrison drove as fast as he could, he drove more than he did when Sammy was shot.
At a point, Sammy had thought that they were dying because they almost hit a car.
Elena sat outside crying hard, she didn’t know what to do.
She didn’t know where she was because of the blindfold, she wasn’t sure if they took her to where she would be killed.
All she wanted at that time was to live.
She heard the sound of a car and she thought her killer had come to take her life.
“Please don’t kill me… please I will do as you said”, she pleaded.
“Elena.”, the voice called and she recognized it immediately.
“Harrison?”, she called not sure.
“Elena.”, he called again after he removed her blindfold and her rope from her hands.
On seeing Harrison, she began to cry more than before. It was as if Harrison was a reminder of what happened to her.
“Am sorry that I wasn’t there for you.”, he apologized but Elena hugged him immediately and he hugged her.
Sammy just stood beside the car watching their drama.
As she hugged him, she became to cry till her eyes were very red.
“It’s ok, I am here now.”, he said patting her.
“I thought I was going to die.”, she said to Harrison.
“I won’t allow that to happen, I am here now. You are safe”, he said and she nodded.
“Let’s go home”, he said holding her.
When they got home, Elena took a bath, ate and fell asleep immediately.
She didn’t sleep until Harrison stayed with her and she slept in his room.
“She was really traumatized, poor girl.”, Sammy said concerned.
“The person behind this will surely regret messing with me”, he said angrily.
“Are you sure you have no feelings for her? I don’t you don’t because if you do, it’s dangerous”
“I don’t and besides she doesn’t like me. She likes Jason.”, he replied but more like he was jealous.
“I hope you are saying the truth, you know that it is better if you keep her from the other life you are living.”, Sammy advised.
“I wasn’t joking when I said we will go our separate ways, I don’t want to have anything to do with her after this.”, he said and Sammy raised his brow.
“Are you sure that you’d be ok with her leaving you because what you feel for her is obvious?”, he teased.
“I see that you are ok”, he said and walked away.
Sammy knew that Harrison was beginning to fall for Elena but he was just denying it.
It’s not that he doesn’t want a free life for Harrison or that he doesn’t want him and Elena to be together but it was dangerous.
He doesn’t want to risk Harrison’s life for anything.
What he went through because of Sara’s death was enough for him.
He was afraid that what happened five years back will repeat itself.
If only Harrison had a perfect life, maybe Sara wouldn’t have left or maybe if Jason didn’t appear in the picture, it wouldn’t have gotten her killed or if only Harrison let go of his love.
Sammy knew better. He knows that if Elena remains in his life then it will be very dangerous and so he must look for a way to separate them before it’s too late.
