“How did you escape the demons?” Toya asked as he pulled himself back out of the water.
Kyoko couldn’t help but stare at Toya’s bare chest for a moment with a blush on her cheeks. Someone clearing their throat brought her back to reality and she shook her head slightly to clear it of the pleasurable fog that had settled there.
“Darious saved me from the gargoyles and the next thing I knew, he took me… someplace surreal… like another dimension. It reminded me of what Eden would have been like and I think it is where he’s from. When he wouldn’t bring me back, I…” her eyes met Toya’s for a fleeting moment, “…thought of you guys and the next thing I knew, I was here.”
