Chapter Three

(Someone's watching me) Kayla's pov

I stood at the door and watched it leave I couldn't tell if he was waving back because of the tinted window I opened the front door and I saw “oh my God mom!”........ “what are you doing?" I asked her really terrified of the way she was standing at the door as I opened it “you almost gave me a heart attack" “come on darling I am really proud of you, you've hit it big, who is he?" She asked me really excitedly “if you must know I went out to dinner with Mr Geronimos son," “wow the heir to the empire, honey let me solidify this relationship" she said then she started moving around me with some wierd object that smoke was coming out from, “mom please it was just dinner, it's not a big deal" I said tired but she kept on chanting whatever she was saying huh my life.

The next day I got to the front door, of the company at least this time I wasn't late late, I finally had enough time to look around, the building was magnificent, mostly glass and steel with a very big writing at the top Geronimos Enterprises, I looked around and I saw some trees and really crafted flowers. Well enough if that I got in “hi" I said perfunctorily to the recepetionist as I got to my cubicle then saw something that I didn't expect to see on my desk, a bouquet of flowers, I was terrified I knew it was from Lucas but I didn't want anyone else to see it, so I hurriedly tried disposing of it, but to my horror, “wow nice bouquet of flowers, spill it, what's going on" Jocelyn said with a sly smile, “nothing," I said embarrassed, but she still kept on looking at me expecting something “nothing is going on" I said again then she just showed me a card, “you say nothing is going on yet Lucas is sending you flowers" “okay, okay, fine, we just went on a dinner just as friends yesterday" I said “ohh dinner" she said “what of it?" I asked as I noticed the smug expression on her face “whats that about?" I asked “what" she replies “that look on your face" I replied back motioning with my hand “well, Lucas has a reputation" she says “okay and what is it?" I asked “well, he is well known for breaking the heart of every lady he comes in contact with and gets away with it, so my advice would be for you to be careful with him" she said and I didn't know why but I felt hurt her words, it got me wondering if I was gonna just be another point that Lucas was gonna have, so I had made my decision to stay away from him as much as I could, so I just nodded as Mrs kunkle came in “alright everyone, let's have our assignments" she said as everyone groaned slightly.

Later that day 6 O'clock in the evening to be precise Kayla went to the park to cool off from the days activities in work, she looks tired, it seems that Miss kunkle has given her one hell of a day, well unknown to her she was being watched by a man in a black hoodie, we can't see his face clearly, but what we do know is that he is looking at Kayla keenly, he was about to approach her when another guy in a baseball hat gets to her first;

Kayla's pov

I was just trying to forget about everything that happened to me today, work was terrible, I think I was actually starting to relax, the wind was blowing softly, and somebody heads towards my direction, what the hell, I thought within me now who was this hobo that wouldn't let me have my peace, “hi" he said as I just sighed tiredly “please let me just be I don't wanna talk to...." I wasn't done speaking when he took of his hat, and glasses “oh damn!" I said surprised, well I was more than surprised, I had tried to avoid Lucas all day, and I succeeded but no he had to find me, I thought within myself but you know the wierd part of all this I was somehow excited that he was here, “what do you want?” I asked simply surprised at the way he was dressed, he didn't look fancy in anyway, and he didn't have his guards with him, he seemed different, “therw it is again the tone as if you are angry with me, well I wanna show you something" “im waiting" I replied “well it's more of I a someplace" I breathed out “i promise if ou don't like it I'm gonna let you be, I promise" he said again “remember you promised to leave me alone after I don't like the place" he just smiled “cross my heart" he said as he led the way and I just followed suit without any complaint but the part where he was taking me I had never seen it before“are we still in the park?" I asked astonished “yeah we are it's just I don't think anyone knows about it" I just nodded then he opened a curtain, well it wasn't a real curtain it was just bunch of grasses that formed a curtain and he showed me something unreal, “oh my God! I can't believe that all this is just sitting here!" I exclaimed watching Lucas smiling at him uncontrollably, birds chirped the wind blew the setting was somewhat magical, the birds kept on chirping with such a melody it could be mistaken for music, he came closer to me, but I didn't feel the urge to tell him to go away, he held onto my arms and we swayed to the rhythm of the birds melody, the wind blew my hair into my eyes, and lucas removed the strands from my face, I felt his fingers brush against my skin, I felt my stomach tie up in a knot, I was now looking straight into his eyes and he was also doing the same, his well moisturized lips were so appealing to me, but then he just pulled away, I wondered why, if he had kisses me I don't think I could've pulled away, then immediately I started scolding my self what are you thinking Kayla. He just went and sat down on a log facing the water fall “kayla I have never had a happy life" he said, I was astonished because that was not believable..........
