Chapter 3 Poverty and WealthIn the last ten years unemployment had risen to unmanageable proportions, technology had replaced seventy percent of all manual jobs and six out of ten of the working man was unemployed. Multinational companies and financial institutions had bled the world dry, they owned everything and what they did not own they broke. They controlled trade routes and governments became their puppets and it was the CO’s of the multinationals that pulled the strings. They led the world into an era that was more right wing than anyone could have imagined, had systematically dismantled the welfare and health systems and removed any kind of opposition by taking the right to vote away from the unemployed, those in prison, and those with any kind of conviction at all.
