Her car was where it was left and was fortunately undamaged; she got inside, started the engine and pulled away. Passing through the gate was when she first noticed the bodies, what appeared to be four scruffy homeless men lay strewn beside the road; she presumed Jason Wixman to be one of them. Apart from the dead the area seemed deserted so she ventured on, heading for the highway that led back toward the city.
