Chapter 15 — Ruin Me

1089 Words
Henry gripped my hand, stopping my gentle ministrations on his body. My gaze locked onto his, and I felt my heart skip a beat—to think such a man would stare at me with so much want. It made me f*****g horny all over again. And God knows I was two seconds from ripping his shirt and having him take me on this damn bed. Instead— “You don't know what you're asking for, Rosie,” he said, his voice strained. “Please…” I drawled, eyes pleading… while my body desperately craved his touch. He shook his head and stood up from the bed, keeping a considerable distance between us. I stood up, walking towards him. “Don't,” he ordered. “Don't come any closer.” I stopped. He groaned. “I won't be able to restrain myself if you keep coming onto me like this. “I never asked you to restrain yourself, did I?” He stared at me in bewilderment. “Can you even hear yourself, Rosie? I'll soon become your stepdad—” “For f**k's sake, Henry, I'm not a kid, Okay. I know what I'm asking for, and I know you want this too. What I can't seem to understand is why you're acting like this.” “The fact that you don't understand, makes you more of a kid. Christ…” he groaned, and began pacing the room. “I'm engaged to your mum, Rosie. Don't you understand,” he said, running his fingers through his hair. I ripped my eyes away, as mum's smiling face drifted into my mind. “You think I haven't thought of that?” I snapped. “Then why?” My voice faltered for a second. “Because I want you—I keep thinking of Mum, but I can't help but want you. And I know you want me too,” I pressed, stepping closer. He moved further away. “I'm 42 years old, Rosie. I've known you since you were a child, now I'm engaged to your mum,” he said, emphasizing the word ‘mum.’ “Do you understand how wrong this is and how bad it can get?” “I-I want to understand…” I began quietly, but my voice cracked slightly, and I felt tears well up in my eyes. “I want to—but I'm not such a logical person like you, Henry.” He closed his eyes briefly. “This… lesson is over. Just go to your room, and we can forget that we ever had this conversation.” “No,” I said, shaking my head. He opened his eyes, staring at me in shock. “What do you mean by no, Rosie? I've already explained to you why we can't—” “You haven't explained s**t to me, Henry. And from all you've been saying, it sounds like you're just running away.” “I'm trying to protect you, Rosie.” “From what?” I screamed. “From me.” He deadpanned, walking towards me. My heart rate sped up immediately as he came closer, stopping just in front of me. I craned my neck up, to stare at his towering frame. “You don't know how much I want to ruin you.” He murmured, brushing his knuckles against my lower lip. “It's taking everything in me to not bend you over this desk and f**k you to oblivion.” My p***y clenched at the rawness of his voice, I pressed my body against his, and he sucked in a deep breath. “But I can't do that, Rosie. It would mean betraying the trust your mum has for me. How many mothers do you know who leave their daughters in the hands of a man who's not their real father.” I hated that he was right. “I want to be like a father to you, Rosie. And the first step to doing that is to end this fantasy of yours.” With that, he dropped his hand and stepped back. “Fantasy?” I echoed, scoffing bitterly. “How dare you lump my feelings for you with fantasies.” “It is a fantasy, Rosie. You'll get over it.” “f**k you, Henry.” He took a seat, folding his arms over his chest. “It'll be best if you cease these feelings while it still doesn't seem blasphemous. Once I officially become your father—” “Give me a break Henry, you're not, and you won't be my father.” I retorted, with a glare of my own. “My father left us to go serve the f*****g country, and if you haven't noticed—he's been MIA for ten years now. Probably used serving the country as an excuse to elope with someone else.” He stared at me with something akin to pity and I felt my heart clench. I ripped my gaze away from him, to the floor. “Don't look at me like that.” “Like what?” “Like I'm some f*****g charity case!” I yelled. “Is that why you're marrying my mum too?” “Rosie—” “You know what,” I paused, raising my arms. “You're right, all this is just a stupid fantasy.” He exhaled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “The fantasy of a young girl pining over her stupid college professor.” I shook my head, grabbed my book from the bed and made my way towards the door. “Don't bother with the lessons, I'll make do on my own.” With that, I pulled open the door—but his voice stopped me. “You're young, Rosie. You have a bright future ahead of you, and I'd be damned if I become a part of what ruins it.” he said, voice soft. I gripped the doorknob, staring at the hallway. “And what if I told you, you were worth all that.” “Then you're a disappointment and a fool, because trust me when I say… no man is worth ruining your future over.” Something in my chest cracked. Tears fell down my face silently… Not because he just insulted me—but because he did so with the truth behind it. And as humans we've always hated hearing the truth. Why? Because it freaking hurts. “Thank you, Henry.” I said, quietly. Then slammed the door shut.
