“Whew…” I whistled, flexing my arm.
“Point blank.”
Henry blinked, lips pressed into a thin line.
Then he slowly straightened up, glared at me with a cold look in his eyes.
“Was that spunk too much for you?” I asked, placing my hand on my hip.
He swished his tongue in his mouth, then spat out in his palm.
“Did I get a tooth in there?” I asked, sardonically.
“You actually did.” Henry replied, voice eerily calm as he stared at me.
“I guess the goal was met.”
“I guess so…”
And so… we both stared at each other.
My eye twitched slightly…
I was annoyed.
Why exactly?
Because while I had a deranged look in my eyes, a bruised palm and another that stung from the impact.
It still didn't feel enough…
I didn't feel true accomplishment.
Why exactly?
Because, even with a broken tooth.
The douchebag still stared at me with that composed look in his eyes.
Suddenly—
He launched for me.
I tried running away, but his arms wrapped around me, lifting me up with ease, then he tossed me over his shoulder.
“Put me down, asshole.” I screamed, hitting his back with my good hand.
He didn't even flinch.
His long strides carried us up the stairs and towards his bedroom.
Oh, hell to the f*****g no.
I twisted against him, kicking uselessly, but his fingers curled around my ankles.
Trapping me.
Like my ankles were f*****g spaghetti.
Fucking spaghetti.
He pushed the door to his bedroom open, then slammed it shut.
“I swear to God, Henry. If you touch me—”
My back came in contact with his desk.
Hard.
The air left my lungs for a moment, before I was lifted again and my face was slammed against the desk.
Hard.
Hard enough that I tasted blood.
There was no gentleness in his actions, only roughness.
Brutal. Unforgiving.
Meant to cause pain.
Tears welled up in my eyes, both from the pain in my mouth and the one in my bruised hand.
I tried lifting my head up, but he shoved my head back down, drawing a whimper out of me.
“Are you comfortable now, Rosie?” Henry asked sarcastically.
“f**k you—”
His fingers fisted tightly in my hair, dragging my head up.
I whimpered slightly at the pain in my scalp.
Then he stepped closer, placing his erect c**k right on my ass.
My body thrummed with need.
Pain and pleasure, mixed together, neither more dominant than the other—creating a sickening sense of need in me.
He edged nearer, and I moved back to give him better access.
Henry chuckled wickedly.
“You like this, don't you? Rosie.”
“f**k you.”
His fingers curled around my waist, slowly moving his c**k against my ass.
I moaned loudly, arching my back towards him.
His lips found my earlobe, and began sucking. “I bet you'd want me to f**k you right now.”
“Like I'd want to be some replacement for whatever pent-up lust you have for my mother.”
He grunted in annoyance.
“What?” I shot back after his lack of response.
“You think I don't know you're hard because of my mum.”
“You think all of this…” Henry drawled, fingers tightening around my waist.
“Is for your mother?”
“I'm not stupid, Henry—”
“Well, you sure as hell are acting like you are,” he said, cutting me off.
My lips quivered.
I hated all of this…
Everything.
The way he made me feel.
For f**k's sake I was angry at him…
Disgusted.
But for the life of me—I couldn't stop my body from wanting him.
Heck, it was like my brain wasn't in control of my decisions any longer.
All my senses, tuned to one person and one person alone.
Henry.
“Say something, Rosie—”
“Go to hell, Henry. You disgust me.” I croaked, sniffling quietly.
“Do you see this as some game? Some sick game where you get to f**k a mother and her daughter together.”
“You know for a fact that I've never thought of you and your mother in such a manner—”
“Well what's it to you then?” I yelled, as tears blurred my vision.
“You’ve f****d my mother, haven't you?”
“Well, I'm not f*****g you, am I?”
“Seriously? Is that your best comeback? You forget you may not be f*****g me, but your fingers buried themselves deep inside me a while back.”
“And yet, you'd still want me buried inside of you, wouldn't you, Rosie?”
I gritted my teeth.
“Answer me, Rosie.”
“Yes!” I screamed, just as the tears rolled down my face.
“Yes. Yes. Yes. Is that what you want to hear, Henry? How much of a sucker I am for you?”
I wheezed hard, struggling to breathe.
“Does knowing that tickle your depraved fantasy somehow?”
His grip on my hair tightened for a fraction…
Then—
He slowly let go.
For a moment, I didn't feel his body close to mine, and somehow that made me cry harder.
Then he turned me around, and set me onto the desk.
Henry exhaled heavily, running his hands through his hair.
“Come here…” he murmured, wrapping his arms around me.
He patted my hair gently, while whispering sweet words into my ears.
We stayed like that for a long while…
With me crying, and him soothing me.
Soon enough, my loud wails reduced to quiet sniffles.
“There, there…” Henry whispered, kissing my hair. “Shh… It's alright now.”
I sniffled, cleaning my nose and eyes on his shirt.
He leaned away slightly, gazing at me with sadness.
“Let me see…” he murmured, turning my face to the side.
I pushed my jaw towards him, pouting as he glared at the wound he had inflicted on me.
He brought his thumb to the bruised spot, wiping the blood away gently.
I gazed at him as he brought the blood-stained thumb to his mouth, sucking it.
“Exquisite,” he said, smiling softly.
I pursed my lips, trying to hold back my smile. “You're not a vampire, idiot.”
“But I can still bite like one.”
“You'd need fangs to do that.” I said with an eye roll.
He only smiled, then stared at me with an emotion I found uncomfortable.
I dropped my gaze to the table, picking at the patterns while swinging my legs.
“Why are you staring at me?” I murmured, peeking at him.
He shrugged lightly.
“Because you look gorgeous.”
Oh God.
My cheeks heated up instantly.
I ducked, using my hair to cover my face in a subtle manner.
“You're just being a smooth talker,” I murmured.
“I guess I am…” he replied softly.
“It doesn't erase the fact that you were hard because of my mum,” I muttered bitterly.
“What if I tell you I was hard, because I kept imagining your face while talking to your Mum.”
“That’s disgusting, Henry. It doesn't make me feel better,” I scowled.
“I know,” he replied.
“And the reverse could be the case also.”
Henry chuckled.
“It's not funny.” I whined.
“You forget your mum acts too properly to do things like that, Rosie.”
I scoffed.
Mum, proper?
That was a dangerous misconception.
Mum had never been proper.
Or maybe she was… in a lot of aspects, she really was.
She'd always been that way with everyone—
Everyone except Dad.
I glanced at Henry briefly, then back to the table.
The wild part of mum I'd grown up to love was slowly seeping out, because of him.
And I wasn't even ashamed to say that I hated it.
“If you must know,” Henry began, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“We didn't do any of the things your dirty mind is thinking.”
I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest.
“But you both still do more than that, right?”
He moved closer, stopping between my legs.
My heart fluttered as his fingers grazed my thighs gently.
“I'm not inclined to explain the basis of my relationship with your mother or what we do behind closed doors.” Henry began, gazing at me deeply.
My lips parted slightly, eyes locked on his.
“But I assure you. No one, not even your mother, can make me feel this way…” he pulled me flush against his hard c**k as if to prove a point.
“With something as simple as a smile.”
And with just a few words of confession.
Henry Gareth became my greatest weakness…
And the cruelest realization that I could never recover from.
