  HARPER'S POV   It is cold tonight. Not the usual kind of cold either, the kind that seeps under your skin and sits there, like it knows you are trying to keep it out.   I hug my jacket tighter around me and keep walking, eyes darting through the trees as the wind howls low through the branches. My boots crunch against the gravel path. Patrol duty again.
