DARREN What happened at school kept coming back to my mind. The night seemed long. Sleep was nowhere near. As such, I kept looking at the night sky. "What have you done, Darren?" I asked myself from time to time. The way I treated Culture was so unlike me. If I were sane, I would never have done anything like that. Yes! I was drunk. I was drunk with anger and not just with any alcoholic substances. "Was what I discovered about her so important even at the risk of our familial bond?" I guess that was. Otherwise, why would I forget how much I used to love her? It seemed that I would go beyond my level, that I would stoop low in order to make her cry. I wasn't like that before. She was one of the most important people of my life. Hurting her would equate to experiencing sleep paralysis. S
