Two For a minute we stared at each other, neither of us moving. The g*n continued to point steadily at me. I reached around and slowly closed the door behind me. “I hope,” I said, “that I didn’t inconvenience you by entering without knocking.” “No,” he said. I walked over to my kitchenette and put down the bottle of whiskey. I turned and started to cross the room to my desk in the corner of the living room. “No,” he said. I stopped. “No what?” I asked. “I cased the place,” he said. “I know you got a g*n in the bedroom and another one in the desk. I left them there, but don’t try to get one of them.” I shrugged and turned back. “I don’t get it,” I said. “There must be some mistake.” “You’re Milo March?” There was little point in denying it. I nodded. “Then there’s no mistake.” “
