going down a rabbit hole

434 Words
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (where my madness lives) Step back, my dear— don’t tempt my mind; the rabbit hole is not kind. It’s where I go when truth turns cold, when rage and wisdom both unfold. It’s where I lose the softer part— the calm that hides beneath my heart. It’s where my storms begin to grow, where I go wild— and down I go. Down the rabbit hole, I’m not the same; I play your game and beat your game. I twist your lies to threads of fire, I break the masks that thieves admire. Wonderland becomes my stage— a place to bleed, a place for rage. A realm where sane and fractured meet, where shadows grin and truth grows teeth. The Queen of Hearts tried claiming me— I slit her throne from spine to knee. She screamed her law, I broke her rule— I am the chaos they can’t school. The Hatter thought he’d twist my brain, feed me riddles, fog and pain. But I out-crazed his every trick— I burned his hat to ash and brick. He learned too late what madness means— I sharpen storms behind the scenes. The Cheshire Cat with smile obscene slipped between the might-have-been. He tried to lure me off my soul— I dragged him down my rabbit hole. His grin dissolved, his whispers froze— I wear the truth he should’ve chose. The Rabbits ran— they always do. They sense the shift, they smell the brew. They know my calm won’t stay intact— they flee before I counteract. Their trembling paws betray their fear— my rabbit hole is never near. See, when I fall, I fall with style; I lose myself for half a mile. But in that drop, I gain my fire— my darker self, my true desire. It’s where I go to stitch my scars, to argue fate, to fight the stars. It’s where I tear illusions clean, reveal the rot beneath the sheen. So understand what falling means: I shed the soft, I melt the seams. I rise in rage, I breathe in smoke— I am the storm behind the cloak. If I go down, don’t tempt my fall— I’ll break your pride, I’ll scorch it all. I’ll twist your truths to fractured coal, then drag you through my rabbit hole. So mark my name, respect its toll— you don’t survive what I control. For when I drop, I lose control… That’s when you meet my darker soul— When I Go Down the Rabbit Hole.
