Chapter Seven

Lilith’s P.O.V.

Alpha Miguel unlocked his office for me so I could go in there. I didn’t feel comfortable going to the dining room to be around the other wolves. I told him I didn’t need a Gamma but it was part of their tradition.

“Come in.” I screamed as I heard someone knocking on the door. It was Gamma Gary. He stood at 6’4, caramel complexion, shorty curly black hair with green eyes. He was slim but muscular. I could see why all the succubi at the club loved him. He had wealth and looks. He walked in wearing a white button-down shirt with some black slacks that matched his leather shoes. I looked at him through the corner of my eye.

“Am I needed?” I asked him.

“No. Alpha Miguel told me from today on I am to be with you at all times.” He said in a timid voice. I could tell that he was afraid of me because of the stories he had heard about me.

“I’m not going to hurt you. Well did he tell you that you will be traveling with me as well. And I don’t mean just to New York.” I said to him.

“Okay.” Gamma Gary said as he handed me a cup of coffee. I tapped the seat next to me on the couch so he could sit down.

“Cakes huh?” I said to him with a smile. He turned away as he started blushing.

“I don’t really know how to tell Alpha Miguel. A normal human is hard enough to understand. My mom and dad know but they don’t approve.” Gamma Gary said feeling sadness in his heart.

“When the Moon Goddess told me that my soul mate was a wolf, I lost my s**t. But here we are, centuries later. What can we do?”

“True. There are stories of you killing Alphas throughout the centuries.” He said to me.

“Yeah but they wanted to trap me after I told them I was not their mate. I was defending myself.” I said to him.

“I get it. There are so many stories about you being a wolf killer. But Cakes told me about the good things you have done for the rogues that end up in New York City.”

“I try my best. A wolf caused the death of my mother but I don’t hate all wolves. I just hate those toxic masculine types who think that women are their property. But I can tell Alpha Miguel is different.” I said to him.

“Then you are going to have a great time at the meeting today. Those guys are terrible and stuck in their f****d up old ways.” Gamma Gary said.

“Yeah but Gamma Gary is a pervert.” Alpha Miguel said.

“Wait, what?!” Gamma Gary asked.

“Alpha Thomas, and Alpha Francisco, this is my Luna and wife to be, Lilith. Lilith, this is Alpha Thomas, he is the alpha of our French tribe and Alpha Francisco is the alpha of our Mexican tribe.” Alpha Miguel said as he introduced me. I extended my hand to them but only Francisco shook it.

“May I ask, why did you bring her to this meeting?” Alpha Thomas said as he sat down.

“You wanted to talk about my finances so here I am to discuss them.” I said as Alpha Miguel pulled out a seat next to him. They both looked at me in shock.

“When you become Luna of this pack in two weeks, we want to know how you plan on helping this pack become more financially independent from our contributions. We have been helping for a while now and since the world is taking a drastic turn in the economy, we want to know how you plan to incorporate your businesses to help your pack prosper more.” Alpha Thomas said.

“Meaning, if I am planning on making my businesses open so you can buy stocks and make more money.” I said.

“In a sense yes and no.” Alpha Francisco said.

“I don’t plan on doing anything. Nothing is going to change for me but I do have other finances that I do plan to contribute to my pack. Give me a year and your contributions will not be needed anymore.” I said to both of them.

“Are you aware of how much we give this branch of our packs?”

“20 million in the last year because of the new hospital wing they are adding. But last year you made 5 million. I don’t mean to sound snobby but five million is nothing to me. Like I said, I have the means but it’s all for my pack.” I said to them.

“We thought that you were going to give us shares of your businesses?” Alpha Thomas asked.

“No. They are mine for a reason. I make the decisions that have kept these businesses prosperous for this long. I learned a long time ago that letting others into my affairs only brings greed and stagnation.” I said to them.

I opened a pocket portal, pulled out a 3-ring binder, and handed it to Alpha Miguel. It was the financial portfolio I made for the finances I was planning on giving the pack. In it, I put into simple details the breakdown of everything.

“Wow, you are good at this.” Alpha Miguel said as he read each page.

“Are you not aware of how marriage work? When you marry Alpha Miguel, he will become part owner of everything you own. Including your businesses.” Alpha Thomas said.

“Everything that my husband will be co-owner is written in the budget outline of the finances I plan on bringing into this pack. I will keep you posted or my husband.” I said as I got up and walked out. I closed the door behind me.

“Where are you going?” I hear Gamma Gary say as he runs towards me.

“Upstairs. I don’t feel like being bothered.” I said to him as I walked up the stairs.

“Well, I have to bother you.” He said as he followed me.
