“When did you get married, Jennifer?” Simon asked, also wearing a shocked look.
"Oh, it’s a month and a half ago, but I don’t really keep tabs on the date, you know; I am even expecting,” I said nonchalantly.
“Expecting what?” The old man asked.
“Of course, it’s a baby,” I laughed while holding my belly.
“Really? Does Jessie Rose know about this?” Simon asked.
“Of course,”
“And he did not fire you?” Simon further asked.
“He dared not to; I am such a great addition to the movie; this is a heads up for you to treat me like a queen in the future,” I bragged, intentionally leaving out the part that Jessie was scared of my husband, Adrien Lockwood.
“Wow, this is really unexpected; congratulations,” Simon said with a wide smile, which wiped up the initial look of confusion on his face.
