Doctor Danica went out of the operation room in a blue gown, surgical mask and gloves on her face and hands, but a smile seen through the look on her eyes as she walked out of the room and Keith’s parents had approached her after waiting for four hours.
The couple held each other as they looked at the Doctor full of hopes, and Danica had given her the best answer with a smile.
“The operation was successful, Ma’am. Your daughter’s heart worked well, and like you hoped, gave someone a chance to continue living. Your decision was a big help to saving the patient. And I don’t know if words would be enough to express my gratitude as the patient’s doctor, but I thank you for all the help that you have given.”
