"Just you wait. I'm going to destroy those hands who try to block my attacks."
The blonde boy said which shocked Keiji. He looked behind, in front and on the side to check if the said boy was talking to him.
He was about to get scared when the screen changed the angle and showed the other side of the net, which he believes, the blonde boy's opponent.
The first parts of the movie showed a young blonde boy being all so greedy on the other side of the net. He's really fired up that he keeps on sending more and more attacks without minding the wall that was clearly there to block the ball. His desire to win overpowered him and he started to lose control of his actions
"Can this man breathe a little? They're losing because of him."
"He's losing his momentum."
"If I was the blocker, I'd feel really glad I blocked all of his attacks."
Keiji added more and more side comments due to the frustration he felt from watching the main character.
"This guy is frustrating. He's pulling them down."
Stomping on his feet, he fetched the remote on the table and was about to turn the TV off when a dark spot started to form on the screen. He pulled his hair and screamed.
"God! Did my TV just get ruined?"
He inched closer, planning to touch the dark spot when he felt his fingers push through the screen. He shook his head, thinking it might just be his imagination, and proceeded to touch the same spot again.
What he didn't expect was for his finger to enter the screen like it's some sort of portal to the other side of the world.
When he started stepping away from the TV, he felt the whole world roll over like it's been twirled by an unknown entity.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Keiji screamed.
His mind is in haze and he can't see anything. To add more to his suffering, he's currently experiencing a headache while non stop twirling on some sort of spiral hole.
"Ugh!"
"Ah!"
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Get off me!"
Keiji found himself lying on top of a guy with blonde hair who seemed to be mad at him for the way he screamed at him to get off him.
'Why does he look so familiar?'
For some reason, he can't stand up. He just remained in place with his head leaning on the guy's chest. It must've been because of fatigue caused by the rapid spinning he underwent earlier. He knows the people around him are screaming but he can't process what they're trying to say. Everything is a blur.
He was brought back to reality when the guy below him kicked his balls.
"Agh! What the hell?!"
Keiji rolled on the ground clutching the lower part of his abdomen as his knees curled up to his chest. His eyebrows met and his forehead creased, showing signs of pain.
"Yael! What did you do?!"
"He won't get off me so I kicked him," Yael said, not hiding the pissed tone in his voice.
"Or you're just mad he blocked your attack while you're practicing how to dodge blocks," a taller guy, who looks like their senior, but in.
"Where did he even come from? I didn't see him coming, Naru-san."
"Well, there are blocks that are unpredictable after all."
Keiji, on the other hand, was confused. What block was he even talking about? He didn't remember blocking his attack. Didn't he just fall in a spinning hole? Rather than asking himself more questions, he focused on massaging his lower abdomen to somehow lessen the pain.
"Is no one planning to help the poor guy?" and another voice inserted.
"Zeno, you go lecture Yael. I'm going to send him to the infirmary," Naru said, as he slowly approached Keiji.
"What's your name, by the way?"
"Kei," he answered, stuttering.
"K-keiji Saico."
"Hi, Keiji! I'm Naru Minawa and this other guy right here is Zeno Parajome.. and the one who kicked your.. uhm.. is Yael Zhong."
"Anyway, Keiji, can you stand up?"
Before Naru could help him stand up, Zeno called for him and whispered something. Yael saw how Naru made an amazed face before facing the two.
"Yael, since you're the one who did this to him? Why not bring him yourself to the nurse?"
-
And that's how it happened.
"Why are you so f*****g tall?"
'Can you stop cursing for once?"
"I didn't allow you to talk, Saico."
Keiji just sighed and looked back on their track. They're still about two meters away from the school gym. It'll take a whole while for them to reach the infirmary.
"Can you really not walk?" Yael asked, frustrated and possibly tired from all the carrying he's doing.
"Would I even let you do this if I can?"
He chuckled when he saw Yael's look on his face. It's probably counted as one of the worst things to ever happen to him. For some reason, Keiji doesn't seem to mind that this guy hates his guts. He's one of the first people to ever get mad at him face-to-face after the incident. It's somehow strange but in a positive way.
"Now, you're smiling. What a weirdo."
He stared at the guy, trying to dig his brain for possible memories he could get of him. He just looks itchily familiar that it irritates him.
And then it hit him.
'Blonde hair and A Volleybal'
"You are the guy from the movie?!"
"Huh? Do I look like an actor to you?"
"This must've been a dream right?"
"Saico, did I kick you so hard that it affected your brain?"
Keiji didn't bother to reply. Even though this guy is pretty interesting, he hates wasting his saliva arguing with him. It's tiring. Though, he still thinks if this is a dream, maybe he could try to enjoy it while he's still here. There's just no way he entered that screen and became a character of a movie he's watching.
-
They've finally reached the infirmary when Keiji broke the silence.
"Thanks."
"- for bringing me here."
"You don't have to. I feel obligated anyway."
Instead of getting mad, Keiji laughed it off.
"Rude."
"Thanks."
"Wow,Yael. You're insufferable."
"Did I allow you to call me by my first name, Saico?"
Keiji flashed another smile and just nodded as a reply. He'll never let him win so he gave up. There are some things to think about anyway; the bed, the nurse approaching and the fact that it didn't really hurt as much but he just wanted to make Yael suffer.
"What?!"
"Mr. Saico is okay. He just needs a little bit of rest. The kick might've shocked and pained him but it didn't affect him just as much. It probably hurt for a good 5 minutes."
"Nurse, what do you mean 5 minutes?" Yael was already yelling that the nurse flinched a little because of how loud he was.
"Yep. Go ask him. Bye, bye, kids!"
Yael turned to look at him with a visibly angry glare on his eyes. He could probably see the smoke coming out of his nose.
"Saico?!"
Keiji tilted his head and curved his lips into a small innocent smile.
"Not sorry."
"Come here you little dimwit!"
Zeno and Naru, who were watching them from outside through the window, heaved a deep sigh and looked at each other.
"The plan didn't work."
"Well, this is still something!"
