Chapter 13: My Burden, My Darkness

3146 Words

-Olivia’s P.O.V- Stephen had spent the whole night with me yesterday, and after our steamy night, he confessed. I’m not going to lie and say I was not happy, because I was. After his accident, I was very sad. I fell in love again after promising myself not to, but I did. Then when I walked into that hospital room and Stephen looked at me like I was a stranger, it broke my heart again. It felt like losing the man I love all over. It was the next morning and I was preparing breakfast while Stephen was asleep in the bedroom. I was making eggs with tea and when I was done, I turned the stove off and began to put the food and the plates on the table. I scanned the table and was happy with what I made and went to wake Stephen up. “Morning,” I said and he smiled rubbing his eyes. “Morning.”
