I was at home finishing up a couple of things for the company when I heard a knock on the door so I got up and opened it.
“Hey,” I said making way for Stephen to walk in.
“Hi,” he answered sitting on the couch.
“So, did you visit Dani?” I asked.
“Yeah, we spoke.” He was being cautious for some reason.
“And? What happened?” I asked and he looked straight instead of at me.
“Stephen?” I said.
“I pretended to be in love with her.” He said and I scoffed.
“I had to get her to trust me and that was the only way.” He explained.
“Forget about it. I don’t want you to do this just for me.” I said.
“But you’re willing to marry Nathan?” He said annoyingly.
