“I mean, my parents are in their own world.” -Keely James

September 28

Kylie puts on her apron and then starts slicing the grilled chicken.

 “Now, I want you to do even slices.” Kylie’s mother informs her daughter while cooking the white rice.

 “Okay, mom.” Kylie just says with a sigh.

“Mm, what smells good?” Kylie’s father asks his two favorite women.

Kylie’s mother swatted him away.

 “Nope, no, you are not to set foot in here while I am cooking.” Kylie’s mom says while glaring at her.

He gives his wife a frowny face.

 “Please? I promise I won’t eat any of the dinner.” Kylie’s father says with a pleading look.

Kylie’s mom just rolls her eyes.

“Then make the dinner rolls.” Kylie’s mom sighs and then looks down at the rice.

 Her father gives his loving wife a smile and then a kiss on the cheek.

 “Thank you, sweetie.” Kylie’s father says doing a mini happy dance.

This makes his wife roll her eyes, and Kylie getting red with embarrassment.

 “Gosh dad, can you not do that?” Kylie asks him annoyed.

“I used to dance all the time, even did a happy dance when we found out that you were going to be a girl.” Kylie’s father informs his kid while making the rolls.

 This makes Kylie get embarrassed some more.

“Okay, your chicken is done and so am I.” Kylie tells her mother while walking to the sink and washing her hands.

“Oh, Kylie, I didn’t mean to freak you out.” Kylie’s dad says with a chuckle.

 Kylie just rolls her eyes.

“I’m still going upstairs; I want to take a nap.” Kylie tells her dad and then walks out of the kitchen.

 “Remember, to be down in an hour!” Kylie’s mom shouts out loud.

 “I will mother!” Kylie yells out.

“Well, we found a nice home in Alaska, we are going there once the case over with and Keely’s killer is in jail.” Keely’s father says later on.

 Everyone was at the dinner table.

 “Um, that’s good Marcus.” Kylie’s father says while eating his dinner roll.

Kylie was stabbing her salad, Keely’s mom was all quiet, and Kylie’s own mother was on her phone.

 “Yea, we just wanted to get away from everything.” He says with a chuckle.

“I thought you guys chose a different state?” Kylie asks the guy.

He then looks at Kylie.

 “Uh yeah, but Josie and I chose Alaska instead.” He says nonchalantly.

 He then continues to look at her dad.

“Okay then.” Kylie says with a sigh then goes back to stabbing her salad.

This will be a long night.
