The Mole's POV
Maybe this would be easier than she'd thought.
The mole couldn't believe her luck. Here she was, watching her plans fall to pieces as she realized there might be one mated pair stronger than the spells she had cast to hide them. She was watching her work fall to pieces before her eyes, torn to shreds by a woman so powerful she couldn't tamp out that power.
And the two fools had shredded themselves for her.
Shifters were stupid.
That was the only acceptable explanation. They were so blinded by their own hubris that they couldn't see they were tearing themselves apart. This idea of what was right and proper had managed to stamp out the first light of mating in over forty years.
