“Love in the air”

2586 Words
Just as Andie thought, his rich legacy was starting. Business was better than even he could have imagined. He had even got himself several pairs of clothes to look presentable before his customers. There weren’t many roadworthy motorcycles in his village and his being new marked a great advantage to him. He was on his way to the market transporting a customer when his phone rang, it was Trizzie. He carefully reached into his pocket, took out his phone and answered. “Hi, you need to come fast” Trizzie said. “How fast? I am on my way to the market” he said. “Like right now fast if you care about your seats! My parents have found them and my mum is threatening to burn them. She says that our house is not one to accommodate stolen items.” Trizzie said sounding terrified. “I am on my way” Andie said, looking confused. He had forgotten all about the seats, but now that he was on the verge of losing them, he had to act and act fast. “You need to get off my motorcycle”. Andie had suddenly stopped the motorcycle and was instructing the heavy woman he was carrying to get off. He no longer cared about what she was to pay him only that the seats were way far expensive. He didn’t care what she was saying and as soon she was off, he took a turn and off he went leaving her shouting insults filled with rage. His relationship with Trizzie’s parents wasn’t the best. They never liked it when Trizzie and Andie hang and were continuously advising her against their friendship. To them Andie was just another poor junkie who wouldn’t mount to anything and therefore a bad influence on their daughter. It wasn’t once or twice they were heard saying that Andie was the reason as to why Trizzie quit school. Trizzie’s parents stared at Andie as he got off the motorcycle and was now approaching them. Trizzie could hear them murmuring, she looked at them and shook her head in disappointment. She then decided to get Andie halfway to try and break whatever moment was happening. “Hi Mr. and Mrs. Waterson” Andie said in a low voice. They just stared at him with angry looks on their faces and for some seconds it was quiet. Trizzie’s mother was the one who broke the silence. “Don’t come here pretending to be innocent with your stupid greetings. Do we look stupid to you? Does our house look like a stolen goods storage? You are very lucky that I didn’t burn these seats. And let this be your last and final warning, never come here ever again and please stay away from our daughter. The next time I see you near our daughter, I am calling the cops on you. Now takes your seats and get out of here.” She shouted. “Stop it mom” Trizzie intervened. She couldn’t take it anymore. She just couldn’t stand and watch Andie get lectured. One heavy slap from the mother left her in tears and fled to her room. Her mother quickly followed her to the house and left Andie struggling with the seats. Trizzie’s father decided to help Andie since he couldn’t load the seats on the motorcycle by himself, he too wanted the whole ordeal over. Unlike his wife, Mr. Waterson wasn’t a hostile man and after he had helped Andie load the seats, he took out a cigar, light it and slowly walked away smoking. Andie was very furious but had decided to remain quiet throughout. He knew that if he had said a word, it would have made things worse most probably because it would have been a rude response. He slowly got on his motorcycle and in a few minutes, he was nowhere to be seen. He was too angry to try and sell the seats, so he headed straight home. He took the seats to his mother’s house since his was too small. It had been quite a while since he spoke to his mother but he had to. After a long discussion, the mother agreed to host the seats for a few days to give him time to get a permanent solution for them. Trizzie was very excited, she was meeting her boyfriend officially for the first time. Trizzie and Marcus had been getting along very well ever since they exchanged their phone numbers. Trizzie was desperate for a rich boyfriend and Marcus wanted to forget about Stacy and had figured out the only way to get over her was to move on and find another girlfriend. Besides, Trizzie had been very supportive throughout Marcus’s grieving period and was very attractive too. This contributed to a very fast relationship. After long flirty chats and phone calls, they had decided to start dating. Andie was against the whole thing; he had refused to take Trizzie to Marcus’s house but later agreed against his will after Trizzie had forced him. He argued that if he was to be seen with her, he would be locked away following Trizzie’s mother’s warning, but really that wasn’t the case. Deep down he knew that he was getting jealous of the relationship since he had feelings for Trizzie. Trizzie was looking very beautiful. Andie just stared at her mouth open as she approached the bike; her very fitting clothes which gave a clear picture of her body’s very attractive figure and her beautiful glowing face said it all. It was definitely an important day. Andie could not believe that his chance to be with her was over, he had just let it slip away. “Hey, we don’t have all day, come on, I am going to be late” Trizzie said as she snapped her fingers on Andie’s face who had started to get lost in his thoughts. “Wow, you look good”, Andie said. “Good, is that all you got” Trizzie said looking all grumpy. “Ok, don’t ruin your face looking grumpy. You should continue smiling. It’s not every day you smile, besides, you look very good when smiling. I kind of like it.” Andie said laughing. “Stop it, now can we go”, Trizzie said, smiling. The distance to Marcus’s house wasn’t that long but Andie had decided to take his time. They finally arrived and found Marcus waiting outside the gate. He greeted Andie who gave a little nod. Andie wasn’t happy at all only that he didn’t want to show. He stared with an unpleasant look on his face as the two tightly hugged. “Do you want to come in?” Marcus asked Andie. “No am good, I should probably head back, I have someone waiting for me”, he lied. He took a turn and left the two as they went inside. Trizzie found Marcus very attractive and the fact that he was rich had sealed the deal for her. She just couldn’t stop smiling. It was very clear that she was excited. She had dated a few guys before from the village but it was never anything serious since her parents were very strict about such matters. Now she was much older and Marcus wasn’t just any other guy in the village. He was ‘the guy’. No one not even her parents could stop her. She held his hand and followed him to the house. The house was breath taking; the interior design and how neat and clean it was made Trizzie feel as if she was daydreaming. Marcus directed her to the sitting room but didn’t join her then. She sat quietly admiring the room as she waited. A minute later, Marcus appeared with two glasses and a drink. They looked at each other and smiled simultaneously as he served the drinks. They talked and laughed and after several drinks, Trizzie was now feeling more confident than before; she had been nervous at first. They were definitely having a good time. Marcus had suggested playing truth or dare and Trizzie was all in. The truths were just confirmations of things they had talked about before on the phones and the dares were just petty dares nothing to serious. The game went on until it started to feel boring. Marcus realized and suggested watching a movie. Several suggestions from both sides were put on the table but later decided to watch one that none of them had seen before. Marcus quickly prepared some popcorn and it was movie time. Thirty minutes into the movie, things started to get intense. The movie was a romantic one and had aroused the feelings of the two. Trizzie hoped that Marcus would make a move but Marcus thought to himself that if he made a move on their first-time meeting, he would scare her off so, he decided to quietly continue watching the movie. “What?” Marcus asked confirming what he had heard. Their hands had touched while fetching popcorn from the bowl and Trizzie had just busted with a dare. “I said, I dare you to kiss me”, Trizzie said. She had gathered the courage and had decided that if he was not to make a move, she would force him to. “Are you sure?” Marcus asked with a smile. Trizzie just smiled back; her heartbeat had elevated but she couldn’t turn back on her words. Marcus slowly leaned towards her, and with one hand, moved her hair slightly backwards and lightly kissed her on the cheek. He slightly leaned back and both smiled. He pulled her towards him and gave her a deep kiss. Clearly, Trizzie had not had enough of the kiss. They looked at each other for a split second and Trizzie leaned towards him; with one hand on his chest, she kissed him without letting go. Marcus was liking how everything was going; it was much better than he had pictured it. He gently started caressing her and with every second, his hand got closer and closer to her big chest. He feared that she would stop him, but it seemed that she too was enjoying how things were going. He slowly unbuttoned her blouse and could now feel the fullness of her enlarged breast in his hand and how warm her body was. He quickly removed his t-shirt and slowly pushed Trizzie down so as to lie on the seat with her back. He kissed her gently from the neck going down. Trizzie couldn’t resist, the feeling was overwhelming, it was a feeling that she couldn’t explain since it was one that she had never felt all her life. As he advanced down to her pants, Trizzie seemed to have second thoughts; was she ready for this, she wondered. “Bzzz bzzz”, it was Marcus’s phone; he had received a message. “Check it” said Trizzie. She was looking for an excuse to make Marcus stop; she was nervous and had decided not to go on with it. “It’s probably nothing” said Marcus obviously not wanting to stop. “Could you just check it please” she said. “OK” Marcus said as he turned to his phone. Trizzie quickly buttoned her blouse and leaned to check Marcus’s phone. “Wait what! Are you serious Marcus? I thought I was the only one” said Trizzie as her eyes became watery. “It’s not what it looks like, let me explain,” said Marcus. Stacy had sent Marcus a text confessing her love for him. Trizzie saw it and she felt betrayed. She couldn’t believe it. Did he have another girlfriend, she wondered. Marcus was wondering why she had buttoned her blouse even before reading the text, but he first had to clear the elephant in the room. “I am sorry you had to see this but it’s really nothing. Stacy is my ex-girlfriend who left me for my best friend; it’s messed up, I know. I haven’t talked to her since we moved.” Marcus tried to explain. Trizzie felt a bit relieved but she had a lot of feelings going on and couldn’t handle them; she had to leave. Marcus tried to stop her but it was in vain, she just had to leave. Trizzie couldn’t handle Andie’s criticism and so decided not to call him to pick her up; she walked home. Marcus wasn’t entirely sure what had happened but all he knew was that Trizzie had left and Stacy was to blame. He had to give her a piece of his mind. He quickly called her ready to explode. Stacy answered the call, but Marcus couldn’t do it, he froze. Stacy was drunk and just couldn’t stop confessing her love for Marcus. She slowly explained what had happened after Marcus left but mostly repeating herself. She had felt terrible for cheating on Marcus with his best friend and had decided to end things with Tony. She had missed him terribly and couldn’t wait any longer. She decided to get drunk and confess her love to him hoping to have him back. Marcus being a bit confused, hang up the phone and decided not to think or act on the issue. He was now thinking about Trizzie. He couldn’t understand what had happened. For a minute she was cool with everything and a minute later she didn’t want anything to do with him. It couldn’t have been the text, he thought to himself, because, she had started to act out of place even before they read the text. After a long debate in his head, he finally decided to call her. Trizzie had arrived home and was in her bed, flashes of everything that had happened that day crossing through her head. She was having mixed emotions. She felt good about what had happened between her and Marcus but also felt guilty because she couldn’t bring herself to go on with the act; she had panicked since it was her first time. She was also not sure if Marcus was telling the truth about Stacy. The phone ring snapped her out of her thoughts. She hesitated to pick but finally picked; it was Andie calling. “Hey, are you spending the night there or am I coming to pick you up?” he asked. “I am good Andie; I am already at home. Marcus escorted me”, She lied. She didn’t want Andie to know what had happened. Just as she was hanging up, Marcus called. Her heartbeat elevated as she answered the call. She wasn’t sure if she had the courage or the words to explain what had happened. Marcus was very calm as he spoke to her. He apologized for the whole Stacy ordeal and promised that nothing was going on between him and Stacy. He continuously reassured her that she was his only girlfriend. This gave Trizzie the courage to explain to him why she had freaked out. She had never gotten intimate with anyone and it freaked her out. Marcus was very understanding and promised to take things slow. Trizzie cleared any doubts of Marcus cheating on her with Stacy and even promised him that she would visit again. After the very long call, Trizzie finally felt at peace; she could now sleep peacefully and fantasize about Marcus once more.
