Adrian Steele soon arrived at an upscale karaoke lounge near Crown University—Euphoria Lounge.
He stopped in front of Room V9 and pushed the door open slightly.
A cloud of cigarette smoke hung in the air. Inside, a few young men and women were lounging on the sofas, dressed like models rather than students—three guys, two girls, all stylish and loud.
One girl, wearing ripped jeans, heavy makeup, and wine-red hair, was singing into the mic. Adrian froze.
That face looked way too familiar.
It was his sister, Susie Steele.
But… what happened to her?
Back in the day, she’d been a straight-A student, disciplined and sweet. Now, she looked like a stranger.
A surge of anger burned through Adrian’s chest. He stormed in and barked,
“Susie! What the hell happened to you?”
