Chapter twenty-two - Back to normal
Adam's POV: Jasmine came home last week. I had to leave her house. I got invited for a sleepover, thanks to Chloe. I didn't want to bother them, but you can't tell her no. The way this girl looks at you makes you say yes to everything she wants. The more I look at her, the more I see her mom. The past few weeks with Chloe were great. I can't have feelings for the kid because she is not mine. I liked her a lot. We had fun together. I tried to be like Jasmine as closely as I could. It's not easy to be in her shoes. She works a lot and has done so much for her daughter. I will never understand how she still has the energy to go to work. If she had help, things would've been easier.
