Chapter 4 - Lunchtime Smoke

Chapter 4

Second day of school and I'm already over it. Just wanna stay in bed honestly but then I'd have to explain why I didn't go to school and I just can't be bothered. Let's just say I'm very reluctant right now as a stomp down the stairs to be greeted by Willow and Kyle.

"Good morning young master, I took the liberty of revising your schedule and you have sports class today so I prepared your pe kit," He said as he handed me my bag.

I have Pe today? Just great, wonder if I could miraculously find a way to skip without getting caught.

We made it to school, just like yesterday yet I didn't have a horrifyingly heavy bag this time. We entered into the hallway only to be greeted by stares from students which made me realise they wouldn't have seen me yesterday considering I had to go to the reception. This is nice, all these students either look at me frightened or with lust which I'm not surprised by, I'm hot but very intimidating with my natural glare.

I made it to my form overhearing whispers on the way. 'Wow he's hot' 'Who is he' 'Can't believe he has the audacity to wear his uniform like that' 'Do you think he's single' 'Let's just keep our heads down'. Nice little range of comments there.

Felt quite empowering to hear them, hopefully they stay out of my way. I walked in, head held high as I sat next to Fabian. We chatted for a while, decided to meet up at lunch as I told him I was planning on going to the roof. Soon enough it was time for Pe.

I trudged into the locker room almost ready to turn right back around before a nice familiar face caught my eye.

"Theo!" I shouted

"Aye, if it isn't Aiden Davis, how are ya?" He beamed

"Am good, glad your here though. Didn't want to be here honestly."

"Oh I feel you but don't worry, they just make us do track first" 

I sighed in relief cause I know I couldn't be bothered for anything else.  Still really annoyed, was not feeling up to anything today but having Theo here made it a bit better so I think I could handle this. Well, that's what I thought until I heard him, Lucas' bloody voice, it got my blood boiling as I put my pe shirt on.

I turned around and looked dead at him, he was chatting away to his friend, laughing at every bloody thing and I'd had enough. I walked straight up to him and he turned around confused once he noticed my presence. I noticed he was shorter than me, around Jenson's height but still had some toned muscle on him, bit more than Jenson.

"Will you shut the f**k up for once in your life?" I said through gritted teeth. He gave me a puzzled look before it turned into a glare.

"What did you say shitstick?" 

Shitstick?

"I said shut the f**k up, you stuck up t**t"  I responded,

"who do you think you are?" He looked up and down me like I was something at a market, it made me cringe.

"What?" I said back daring the likes of him to say that again.

"Oh sorry did I not say it small enough words for you to keep up, you dumbass? who, do, you, think, you, are!?" He retaliated. Now I'm fuming.

I  grabbed him by the collar.

"Say that again, I dare ya" I spat as I squeezed tighter on his collar, people were started to notice now.

"What? That you're a dumbass?" I was gonna punch him now, I could feel first tighten as I held it up.

"WHY YOU!-" Just as I was about to throw a punch the locker door opened and in came the pe teacher.

"Alright, alright kids break it up" he signed as my grip weakened giving Lucas an opportunity to shove me away with a glare. 

"Yeah yeah, finish getting changed and no more catfights" He announced before turning around muttering something about being too old for this. Lucas and I glared at each other before Theo dragged me away. Lucas got lucky today cause I was really ready to punch him where it hurt.

"You alright, I knew you seemed angry but you really went off," he said as we made our way onto the field.

"I was just not in the mood, he really pisses me off and I don't know why, probably his whiney voice"

"Yeah, I could tell he pissed you off haha. Anyway, was gonna ask if you wanted to hang with me and my mate Fabian at lunch?"

"Fabian Williams?" I asked

"Yeah him, you know him by chance?" He gave me a questioning look 

"Yeah, met him in detention, nice guy. I was planning on going to the roof at lunch, wanna meet there?" I asked

"Yeah sounds cool, see you at lunch" He smiled

Pe was over quicker than I thought, involved a lot of glares towards Lucas and vise versa. Lessons passed, some classes were slept through and soon it was lunch.

I made my way up the crooked stone stairs to the entrance of the roof that had a sign saying 'No entry' across it. But that's never stopped me before as I looked under a mat and true to that girl's word there was a key underneath. I unlocked the door and stepped out feeling the breeze. 

"Hello, how was detention?" The girl sitting with her legs hanging off the roof's edge said to me.

"What, how did you know about that?" I raised a brow her way

"Easy, I saw you get caught, massive amateur hour using the balcony btw. Nice to know you listened to me since your here" She said hopping down to face me. We went to sit together at the side and talked about how much of a t**t Sawyer was. The door opened to reveal a cautious Fabian looking around.

"Oh aren't you cute" Rowan sighed 

"Excuse me? Thanks?" Fabian replied looking uneasy.

"Ohmygosh I'm kidding, you look so awkward, chill out dude" She laughed at him. A few minutes later Theo and Jenson joined and we chatted while me and Rowan had a few smokes. It's nice to feel the breeze in my hair while I breathed out. I tried to zone back into the conversation where Rowan was talking about Sawyer snitching on her over and over since they were in the same class.

"I swear he's the biggest asshole around!" She sighed dramatically.

"Oh don't even get me started about this t**t in my form!" I retaliated.

"Is this Lucas?" Theo rolled his eyes playfully at me.

"Wait, Lucas Brooks? He's hot though" Rowan said to which I gave a disgusted look. Him? Hot? I mean I guess but ew no, not even.

"Isn't he the only guy in his friendship group?" Jenson asked

"no no there's another guy, just can't think of this name" Theo pondered

"Miles!" Fabian said almost too quickly that resulted in me and the others sharing a look.

"Miles huh?" Theo teased while Rowan and I observed for his reaction.

"Yeah, how do you know this Miles huuuuuh?" Jenson smirked.

Fabian started to look flustered, "He's just in my art class is all!" 

"OH My God!!!" Rowan squealed and we gave her some worried looks.

"You totally have a crush on him!" She giggled with scary wide eyes. Fabian started to go bright red.

Wow, it's true?

"Haha, we so have to check this Miles out, see if he's worthy and all" Jenson said as a matter of fact as we all nodded.

This might be fun.
