Katala     We walked for miles and miles through the green lightened caverns without food or water.  After a while we all started needing more breaks to rest and our already laborious journey started to slowly become the subject of nightmares. Especially for Nira, who seemed to have caught a fever after falling on the lake. She would fall asleep even while walking. Didoka and I became more connected in our mutual worry for Nira. We would take turns to stay awake and keep an eye on her, while my cousin slept through nightmares and restless dreams that left her tired and pale once she awakened.      The caverns were so cold that at times we hugged each other trying to stay warm while we rested.
