Two minutes after Logan fully informed the three alphas. They did indeed, arrived at the entrance gates of the sapphire estate.
The driveway up to the estate was wide enough for three car to enter at the same time without issue and quickly opened up to a very large front lawn. That was beautifully manicure by the staff.
The driveway narrowed as it slowly approached the garage on the side of the house.
It was supposed to be a smooth transition with such a shallow turn, but the alphas noticed the car taking a sharp turn. It was like logan was trying to drive around something.
Something large from the effort it seemed to take.
That caught their attention and the six eyes quickly began searched for the cause through the tinted windows.
“So this is really happening, the scientists are back.” Cane said in disbelief as they took in the three large freight trucks with all of tailgates open, parked one after the other, half way on the lawn and half way on the driveway.
It looked like they parked carelessly, or hurriedly.
Leron wouldn’t be surprised if they had soldiers surrounding the place because the trucks looked like they were used as tactical ramming devices the way that they were discarded.
Either way it made the three alphas blood boil.
Logan could barely come to a complete stop in the garage before Cane, Leron and Arc bolted out of the backseats and marched straight towards the dining room.
“s**t. This isn’t going to end well.” Logan said with concern as he raced to catch up with the boulder like shapes that were barreling towards an already a sensitive situation.
“It’s like they’ve forgotten that they were late.”
The hallways leading from the mayoral office makes the halls look like a labyrinth but from the side of the house, the halls are comprised of four main halls that lead to different side of the house.
The one in the middle leads start to the dining area since it makes it easier for the family to gather on short notice.
So by the time Logan finally caught up with the speeding giants, he was too late to stop any potential arguments.
Still he knew he had to try.
But instead of claws drawn and teeth snarling. He was surprised to see that the family was civilly seated waiting to be served by the lady of the house.
Estelle.
Before Logan could announce himself, her big round eyes lifted up from the plate she was placing to greet him.
“Good morning, Logan. Thank you for getting my boys here in time for breakfast. Come, sit, eat.” She said. Her bright velvety voice always had away to make Logan blush.
That along with her boundless beauty.
When she was selected to be lady of the house. She was one of many beautiful women but everyone knew that she was the clear winner from the beginning.
She was the most beautiful, she is smart, crafty, deadly.
Everything the lady of the sapphire should be to survive through the hunt.
Logan didn’t waste any time finding his seat. Estelle’s charm still got to him every now and then. So like a magnet he found himself bending to her will and wishes. Even still he sat in an appropriate distance because he didn’t want to be killed for his thoughts.
“So, where is that vintage piece you all promised me?” Estelle said as she placed down the main dish in the center of the table.
The alphas shot each other a look and Logan couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“The careless man whores forgot to bring something back.” He thought to himself as he reached inside of his jacket to receive the back up gift tucked in his pocket.
“Well it was hard to find anything that you didn’t already have and we wanted it to be special so-“ Cane started but was stopped by Logan placing a long square box on the table.
“They had me look at different stores to find one just in case.”
Estelle squealed in excitement a moment after, Logan showed her gift.
Then a deep mature voice filled the room, “That was very thoughtful of you boys. Thank you for making your mother so happy.” Seth, their father boomed as he watched his beloved retrieve her gift.
Logan was reminded of his place and bowed his head in respect to the couple.
“No problem father, but what Logan forgot to mention was that we found her gift days ago and had it delivered to her room but we knew she would be impatient so we wanted to give her this now so that we can enjoy a meal together.”
Estelle froze mid-reach and Logan could see her excitement bursting out of her pores.
In defeat, he grabbed the box with the vintage eternal diamond bracelet inside and stuffed it back into his pocket. Nothing to himself to place it on her vanity tonight.
A second later, Estelle turned and ran out of the dining room like a little child. The sight made Seth burst into laughter again.
“Will you look at that? That woman’s energy is what keep me young.” He chuckled as he rose from his seat forgetting all about the food that was set so beautifully on the table.
The three alphas joined leaving Logan alone at the table to lick his wounds.
The families room were downstairs for security reasons. Using the earth to protect them from invaders. so down the hallway leaving out of the dining room is a staircase that twists towards the hall that leads to the Seth’s and Estelle’s marital room. A few rooms past that is her personal room that she uses to refurbish vintage items.
Nimble Estelle moved with lightning quick speed all the way to her room and left a trail of laughter for the four men to follow.
They were finally turning into the room when Estelle came bursting back out, almost knocking down Seth in the process.
“It’s a vintage candle lantern! It’s a candle lantern!” She said breathlessly before rushing back inside.
“Thank you! It’s going to go perfectly over my nook area. Come on, and help me hang it. I want to see what it looks like.” She said almost coughing on her excitement. Before grabbing Seth’s wrist and pulling further into the room, towards the nook.
Estelle’s room looked like the inside of the world’s finisher art museum.
Displays of old spearhead, daggers and war masks were painstakingly placed alongside the walls of her room. Books looked like they were floating against the walls.
Old art hung from her ceilings while a few of her unfinished projects laid on a long bench on the other side of her room.
In mere moments she was in full lady of the house mode.
After numerous attempts she still couldn’t find the perfect spot for the lantern to hang and all of Seth previous enjoyment had been stomped out.
“Just a little bit more to the left, please.”
“Ugh, Elle. I was just there.” He grunted as he stretched back to the spot he thought she wanted.
“I know, honey but a little bit more please I think we’re almost there.”
“If I don’t get down from here soon I’m going to sprain a muscle, Estelle. Please make up your mind.”
“We are almost there. Please stick with me. Boys, can you help your father.” She pleaded as she kept her eyes focused on the spot that no one could seem to reach.
Seth let out a sigh of relief and chuckle at the reminder of his tall sons.
“Yes, that’s a splendid idea. Why don’t one of you try. maybe you can get it.” Seth said as he climbed off the nook and placing the lantern in the Leron’s hands since he’s the tallest.
But it didn’t matter that he had a few more inches to give and it soon showed as Estelle continued to find the perfect spot.
“Ugh, come on, a little more forward. You’re almost there you just keep moving.” Estelle whined.
Arc, let out a soft playful growl before surprising by grabbing her hips a lifting her up so that she was as tall as Leron was.
“Why don’t you try for yourself?” He teased.
Leron wasted no time handing the latern to her and climbing down.
“Ok but you’re gripping me too tight, it hurts a little.” Estelle said with her focus narrowed in on the potiential spot. Not sensing the shift in the mood. Not realizing that she being set up.
Suddenly, all of the pressure left her hips and was spread underneath her thighs as she she sat on one of arcs shoulders.
“Is that better?” Arc asked in a serious tone.
“Yes. Now a little bit more to the right.” She said excitedly.
