It had been an exhausting day, so I went to lay down and rest. Lawrence had accompanied me as he was tired too. Marcus had agreed to get word to the Rogue King that we would not be accepting his proposal.
“Lawrence, what if he truly has my mother? What if she dies because I won’t ally with him” I say, crying softly.
“I know this is a lot to take in, especially with how much things have changed lately, Myah. I know a mother would never want her child or grandchildren’s lives risked. So if he does have her, she would never want that agreement.
