**** Myah P.O.V**** Did he say, “Mate?” I thought to myself.  I didn’t want to say anything out loud because, to be honest, I wasn’t sure what was going on. I knew both of their mates were dead. Does Marie not need to grieve her loss? I  mean, that’s quick. When I turned around, all of the warriors in the cave looked happy.  This was a good thing, and I wasn’t going to ruin it with my questions. We began the slow walk back. Every so often, I could hear Marie whimper in pain. Jon-Jon had her in his arms tightly and kept whispering to her.  I heard him say, “hang on, mate,” at one point, but it was very low, almost a whisper. It felt like the walk took forever.
