To his relief, though, Cassandra was just as efficient about procuring herself enough clothes to get by as she seemed to be about everything else. She told him there was no reason for him to come in the store with her, and sure enough, she was gone for fifteen minutes at the most while she disappeared into Macy’s. When she emerged, she was carrying two large bags, and Tony obligingly popped the trunk so she could stow them right away and climb back into the passenger seat. “Drugstore?” she asked as she closed the door. “There’s a Walgreens up on Cerrillos.
