11 She could have been at a luxury hotel in downtown Phoenix, or maybe even Los Angeles, although they hadn’t made it that far during their whirlwind trip to Southern California. The room was large and clean and modern, with a television embedded in a wall that separated the sleeping area from the sitting area, a huge bathroom with marble countertops, and elegant shutters opening on a balcony that offered an absolutely breathtaking view of downtown Tijuana.
