j"You did what!!!!" Kay yelled through the phone. "That old man had to be put in his place," I said, Ok that was stupid but I'm not gonna admit that to Kay.
"But you lost a chance to a good job." She reasoned.
"Your right, well I'll keep trying to find another job," I said keeping positive. "Good and I'll help you pay your rent this month."
"Thanks, Kay I don't know what I'd do without you" I responded genuinely.
"I have to go now but good luck," She said before hanging up.
When the call ended I brushed my teeth and took a long shower. I put on a grey sweatshirt and a pair of tights and put my hair in hair in a messy bun. I made bacon and eggs a cup of coffee with a tad bit of sugar and cream for breakfast as I was about to stuff my face my phone began to ring and I saw my mothers name on the screen, I rolled my eyes and answered my phone with a loud sigh.
"Hello, mother" I answered slightly annoyed.
"Hello my dearest daughter you don't sound happy to hear my beautiful voice" Mom responded and I could already picture the huge grin on her face. "Maybe that's because she doesn't want to hear your annoying voice" I heard my dad yell on the next line, as much as I wanted to be annoyed I couldn't help the grin that broke help on my face.
"What is it mom" I inquired.
"I wanted to invite you to dinner tonight I haven't seen you and your brother in a while and I'm tired of seeing your father's stupid face all the time" She responded, "Um excuse me my face is not stupid" I heard my father whine in the background.
"Sure what time," I asked
"Be there for seven" She responded.
"Please be on time" She pleaded before hanging up the phone and I went back to my breakfast and man was it calling my name.
"Come to Mama" I chimed
As I was about to take the first glorious bite of my bacon my hand knocked my coffee into my food.
It was around 12:30 and I was currently on my laptop looking for any available jobs online when I heard my phone ring and an unknown number popped up on the screen. Hmm, I was expecting a call I thought as I answered the phone.
"Good afternoon is this Charlotte Miller," A high pitched voice asked.
"This is she" I responded
"I am the manager of the restaurant festons, I saw your resume on the desk and I wanted to interview you," She said, I was in complete shock.
"I'm sorry miss but Mr Smith already interviewed me," I said and instantly regretted it, I'm so stupid I should have kept my stupid mouth shut.
"I know but Mr Smith passed away last night so I would like to interview you again" She explained I jumped off my couch and started doing a happy dance when I remembered I was on the phone " That's great news omg I can't believe he's dead," I said but then realized what I said but I mean come on the old man had it coming.
"I mean it's such good news that I get another interview," I said correcting myself.
"Anyway I want you to come to the restaurant on Tuesday at 9 a.m sharp for me to interview you don't be late" She demanded before hanging up.

It's about 4:30 and I decided to get up and get ready to go to my parents' house. I took a shower and decided to wear a black fitted cocktail dress and a pair of black heels to match. I sat in front of my mirror and started doing my makeup, I was never really into makeup so I'm just gonna put on some powder, foundation mascara, and some lip gloss. Then I started with my hair, I decide curled my hair I also put in some silver hoops in my ears and my silver bracelet.
As I slip on my bracelet I took time to study the details, it had half of a moon I wonder where the other is if it even had another half.
I shook the thought away and grabbed my gold bag before locking the door and heading to my car.
~~~
It took about an hour but I finally got to my parent's house, I looked at the house and it brought back lots of memories.
I parked my car and went to ring the doorbell.
My mother's head popped out the door.
"You're here!" She yelled as she engulfed me in a bone-crushing.
"Mum, I can't breathe" I inquired gasping for air as she let go. I looked at her face and saw her wrinkled eyes full of glee.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so excited to see you in so long" She squealed like a schoolgirl.
"Let's go inside" She stated
We both go inside to see my dad waving smoke out of the kitchen.
"David what did you do, I left you for two minutes and you let this happen" Mom grumbled.
When the chicken came out of the oven it was completely burnt.
"Well, I guess we're vegan tonight" Dad mumbled with a guilty grin. Mom rolled her eyes and smacked him upside the head and I couldn't help the giggle that escapes my lips.
"Well Nate isn't here yet, so could you please go to the supermarket down the street and buy us a rotisserie chicken please" She begged.
"Fine" I grumbled as I grabbed my keys and left the house.
I drove down to the supermarket and began looking for the chicken. I looked around for a while and finally found it, I grabbed the chicken and a chocolate bar while going to check out.
The line was moving smoothly until the guy in front of me reached the front. He was 2 dollars short and the cashier told him to leave the line if he couldn't pay.
When I finished checking out I went outside and looked for the man. I saw him standing near the road, He was wearing a blue t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I wondered over to him and held out two bags awkwardly. I stood there and was mesmerized by his green intense eyes and his sharp jawline as he looked completely confused. I should say something before he thinks I'm a weirdo.
"H..hi, I just wanted to give you these" I said, Since when do I stutter.
"What's that" He grumbled as he ran his hand through black hair.
"Um..it's the stuff that you were gonna buy in the supermarket" I stammered.
He then stood up towering over me and took the bags out of my hand.
"Thanks" He muttered as he measured me up.
"I'm Gabriel," He said introducing himself but I was to focused on his intense eye to notice until he cleared his throat.
"Oh um... I'm Charlotte" I responded.
"Well, I should get going but thank you for the favour I hope that I can repay you one day" Gabriel mumbled before turning on his heel and leaving. As he walked away something caught my attention, his bracelet had the other half to mine.
Bracelet squad!! I thought, god I'm an i***t.
I got back to the car and sped back to the house and was relieved to see Nate's car in the driveway.
I went inside to hear the house full of laughter and I saw my family telling stories in the living room before I knew it I was engulfed in a bear hug by my brother Nate.
"Charlie bear!" He yelled obviously excited to see me.
"I missed you so much" I chimed equally as happy to see him.
"I'm glad to see that you guys are happy and all but I'm hungry and I'll eat with or without you guys so the choice is yours" Dad grumbled.
"Let's eat" Nate yelled
We all sat at the table and my dad stretched his hand to the chicken but didn't make it because my Mother slapped his hand.
"We have to say grace and since your in such a hurry I suggest you say it" Mom demanded and Nate and I mumble in agreement Dad rolled his eyes and began to say grace.
"Thank you for this food Amen" He hurried before stretching his hand to the food again and yet again Mom slapped him.
"Say it properly," She said glaring at dad, He groaned he then mumbled some words quickly. Mom rolled her eyes but allowed us to eat this time. Dad again stretched for the chicken.
"Now David you are not allowed to have and chicken because you are the reason we had to buy one in the first place" Mom sassed.
"Oh come on sweetheart" Dad whined
"Guess your vegan tonight" She mocked his words from earlier today.
I didn't waste and more time as I began to pile my plate when I heard Dad whisper "Hello my favourite daughter do you mind sharing your chicken with your amazing Dad"
"Sorry dad but I don't want to change your vegan lifestyle" I smirked as he scowled at me.
Dinner went amazing we talked and laughed about our old memories.
This couldn't be better.
