What's he doing here?

I was completely confused, just the other day I had to give him money to pay for his grocery, and now here he is saying he's some big pastry chef.

"Now let's hear our first challenge," Tony yelled "You have 1 hour and a half to make a dish with mango, Now you have 5 minutes to get everything you need over at the mini grocery over to you right"

The minute he said mango I know what I was going to make, Mango, White chocolate, and Coconut Gateau.

"Your time starts, Now!"

I ran over to the mini grocery and grabbed 4 egg whites, caster sugar, Coconut Flakes, white chocolate, thickened cream, 2 fresh mangoes, peeled, thinly sliced, Icing sugar.

I quickly ran back to my station and orderly packed everything for when the timer rang. "Alright, contestants your time is up get back to your stations to begin making your hopefully good deserts."

Everyone walked back to their stations "Good luck everyone Your time starts now!"

I put the white chocolate and the cream into a heatproof bowl over a saucepan filled with simmering water. I stirred the chocolate and cream melt into a smooth mixture. I covered it with plastic wrap then put it in the fridge to chill.

I put egg whites into the electric beater slowly adding in the sugar 1 tablespoon at a time until it was thick and glossy.

I spread the mixture onto discs, I then sprinkled some coconut in each disc. I then took the remaining of the mixture and put it into an icing bag

I then put the meringue discs to bake for 1 hour.

While it was baking I looked up at the judges and my eyes met a pair of green eyes. Gabriel started intensely at me but I went on and continued making my dessert.

The discs finished baking and I opened the oven and let it cool whole. I then place 1 meringue disc on a serving plate and spread with one-third of the chocolate cream. Top with one-third of the mango. Then repeating with the remaining meringue discs, chocolate cream, and mango.

I then placed some extra mango slices on the top and then dust the cake with icing sugar. I glanced up at the timer and saw that I had 5 minutes so I sliced the gateau into 5 and placed them on plates. I took some of the extra chocolate and cream mixture and did a zig-zag effect on the plate placing a mango slice on each plate.

"Alright chefs time is up" I looked around and saw that some people weren't even finished.

Tony and the judges walked around all the tables observing everyone's creations. The judges pass by my table Gabriel grinned slightly before his face went serious again. When the judges finished observing our dishes they went back to their judging stations. "Ok so contestant number 1"

After a while of food judging, I heard tony call me. "Contestant number 20" my eyes snapped up as 5 helpers walked up to my station and took up all 5 plates and took it to the judges. I slowly walked up to the judging area with my hands crossed behind my back.

"So what do you have for us today" Judge Nancy spoke up. Gabriel looked up at me with amusement in his eyes.

"Well, I made a simple mango Gateau topped off with coconut and white chocolate". My heart skipped as they each lifted the fork to their lips. After tasting my dish for a while tony spoke up.

"Ok judges what do you think of the dish starting with you Nancy" Judge Nancy took a deep breath before speaking.

"This dish was very lovely, I personally loved how the mango and coconut tasted exceptionally well together" After her, the other 3 judges praised my dish, I was on fire until Gabriel spoke.

"Well I didn't like it that much, It tasted dry and it was too sweet, The mango and coconut tasted fairly well together and then the white chocolate destroyed the chemistry of the entire thing making it taste disgusting" well that went bad, he ruined my entire review after all those good comments he ruined it. I bow my head in embarrassment as the 5 judges and Tony looked at me.

"well good luck contestant number 20 you may return to your station'' I trailed back to my station with my head bowed as the last 10 contestants went to see the judges. Tony walked towards the contestants as the last contestants came back from being judged.

"Ok contestants make your way to the lounging area as the judges make their decisions" We made our way to the lounge area when I saw Jade, I rushed over to her in a hurry.

"How was it!" I asked Jade genuinely concerned.

"It was awsome all the judges loved my dish I swear when Gabriel started talking I went total fangirl I swear" She ranted "how'd it go for you"

"It was great until judge grumpy opened his mouth, he made me look like a complete i***t" Jade shrugged before fangirling over Gabriel for the next 5 minutes before Tony called all the contestants back to the judging area.

"Now contestant as the judges call your name step aside ok now let's begin, judge Gabriel, if you will" Gabriel, got up from his seat before standing in front of the long line of contestants with his arms crossed behind his back. His face held a serious stare as he looked among us.

"Nevel Avery, Annie Weston, Abby Nelson, Leah Washington, and Nathan Davis please step forward" The people with their names stepped forward. "Pack your bags tomorrow morning you will be escorted to the airport where you'll be taken home." And with that, he and the judges walked away to who knows where.

"Well, now we have 30 contestants left in total so if you're still standing here enjoy this moment cause you won't be standing here for long" He grinned and walked away.

"And Cut!" The camera crew yelled before moving away from the set in a frantic manner.
