Jace knew what he had to do the minute he completed reading that letter. Even though his dad left the company solely for him, it was not his to take. He knew someone more deserving than him.
The very day he called Thomas, their lawyer and asked him to draw up new papers. He was told that it would take some time. Jace decided to leave for that amount of time.
Alex was uncomfortable with his presence and hated him. Also, Jace wanted to get away from that place for a few days, clear his head. First, he visited his childhood home, the rundown one-room flat. It was barely holding buy he was surprised to see that his father had someone clean it up from time to time. He tried to stay there, but the images of his mother haunted him.
