Aira

I'm leaving for...

Aira found it really nice not waking up to a hard blow to her body. Instead, she was greeted by bright rays of sunlight coming into the room from the cracks in the curtains. When it was days like today Aira would say she was a morning person. She opened up the window to let the fresh morning air fill the room.  Not even a few seconds later her phone started playing Happy by Pharrell Williams, it was mummy Wynter's ring tone. Aira wasted no time in answering it. 

"Good morning Mummy" 

"Morning cupcake. They both spoke at the same time making both of them to burst out laughing. "You sound like you have been up a while," Mummy Wynter said. "Actually I have not long woke up," Aira said as she rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand. "I was thinking about going for a swim." Aira loved that Moon Pride had their own pool inside the packhouse. "I have been up a while. I can't really sleep in you know how it is. How is everyone?" She sounded like she wanted to be there as well but yet happy at the same time. 

"They are doing great. Auntie Persephone and Eric are about to pop. Amelia found her mate last night. You will never guess who it is!" Aira was more than happy to share the latest news with Mummy Wynter ."Who is it?"

"Come on Guess?"

"Why would I do that when you said I wouldn't get the answer."

"Well played Mummy" Aira laughed "Well played. It's Eli. Can you believe it? Eli is mated to an alpha. She will be a Luna one day." Aira explained her excitement was evident in her tone. "That's amazing. Can you tell Amelia congrats from me? We should plan a celebration for Eli when she gets back."

"We should! Don't worry Mummy, I will pass on your message. I am going to go for that swim I mentioned earlier."

"Alright, I know when I'm not wanted." Mummy Wynter joked. "We can talk later if not I will see you tomorrow night?"

"Okay, Okay. Sounds like a plan. Bye, love you." 

Aira went about her normal morning routine before grabbing a towel and a swimsuit to head to the basement swimming pool. 'Guess I am not the only one up earlier this morning.' Aira thought to herself as she saw Eli in the pool already doing laps. "Morning Butter," Aira said as she closed the pool room door."Good morning Peanut." Eli had a big smile on her face as she jumps on to the side on the pool. 'Good, she is happy. Now is a good as time as any to tell her my birthday plan. I just have to ease into it,' Aira thought to herself, reaffirming her resolve. "So... How is the soon to be Luna Eli doing?" Aira tried, only to have Eli laugh at her. 

"Seriously Peanut, you have something you want to say so spill it," Eli said as she knocked her shoulders again Aira's causing her to sigh. Eli was always good at reading Aira. Aira whispered, " I am leaving on my Birthday."

"I am not a werewolf, like you guys I don't have heightened senses. You are going to need to say a bit louder Aira'" Eli was a bit annoyed at Aira. Aira cleared her throat. "I am leaving on my birthday," Aira repeated. Aira knew Eli heard her since her happy aura disappeared. It was either happy or angry with her. Aira (and maybe now Amelia) could only make her feel dejected like this. "What?" Eli asked the sadness every evident now. Aira turned to face her only to have tears come to her eyes. Eli looked at Aira as if some would look at a dead pet, dreadful. Aira hadn't even told her the worst bit yet. "What do you mean leave? You can't just leave!" Eli yelled. "I am going to search for my mate, Butter" Eli's eyes fill with understanding and a smile crossed her face. "Oh, I thought would where going to say that you were leaving and not coming back ever." She chuckled and turned back to face her feet. When Aira doesn't laugh Eli turns back to look at her again. "I mean you're coming back right?" When Aira doesn't answer, Eli had her answer. That's when tears fall from the pair of them. "Peanut no!" Eli whispered. Aira pulled her into a hug and nodded her head. "I'm sorry Butter." Aira reassured, "We still have about a week left." "But why?" Eli pulls away. Guess I am going to have to start from the beginning. 

Aira tells her everything since the beginning When she came out to the pack to the present day. "And you haven't noticed because of my werewolf healing, So I didn't have any bruises or anything. " After a while, Aira finished her story. Eli moved as fast as she could and grabbed a nearby lounge chair and threw it against the fall. At least it's better than getting smacked around the face.   

"THEY DID WHAT?!" Eli fumed was all Aira could hear before Amelia, Wyatt and Hugo stormed into the pool room. Amelia went to calm Eli with a hug but soon thought better of it and backed off when her furious gaze turns to Aira. "And you didn't think to tell me Aira Mei Knight!" 'Crap this lives full name she is really mad. Anything but the full name.'  Aira steps back as Eli still paces. Eli mutters many colourful threats to those involved with Aira's abuse. "I am going to make their families watch. Except for Kerian and Alaric. I am going to enjoy torturing those 2 on my own. They are going to wish they were dead before I even get 10 F!cking seconds done with them." She rambles. Aira winces at her threats even Hu, Amelia and Wyatt talked a few steps back.  Aira tried to signal amelia to keep her mouth shut about her knowledge of the abuse but she didn't get Aira's signal. 

"So you told her then?" Amelia said rather matter of factly. You had to say that Amelia now at the worst time?

"You knew!" Eli questioned in a calm voice. Too calm for the situation to be considered safe. Amelia nervously gulped but still nods yes. "Did everybody know but me?" Eli asked looking and Hu and Wyatt. "Mummy doesn't know" Aira tried to joke, it only made Eli focus on her instead. "I hope you hear me loud and clearly Aira. I am going to kill everyone in that goddess forsaken pack. Starting with that sh!thead "Alpha Alaric" and ending with that piece of sh!t of a brother. Of course, anyone who didn't know about the abuse will not be harmed especially the children." Eli finished far too sweetly. 

After a few moments, Eli looked sane again. Amelia approached and pulled her into her arms. Eli instantly relaxes. "Why don't we discuss this upstairs" Hugo suggests. So much for my morning swim. Everyone follows Hu upstairs. Once upstairs they get comfy on the sofas. "So what happened downstairs?" Eric asked as he joins the group alongside Persephone. Hu and Wyatt rush to help their pregnant mates to get sat down comfortably before sitting down themselves. "Peanut told Eli about the pack abuse," Amelia answered as she continued to hold her mate close. Persephone and Eric both tense up a bit as they send worried glances to a silently fuming Eli. Eli notices their gazes and tries to remain calm for their sake. "I don't get why you didn't tell me Peanut. I could have protected you." She thinks aloud softly causing to aira to sigh. "You couldn't have, Butter. If you kept them away at school they would of just attacked me at the packhouse and left permanent damage. At least at school, they had a time limit. At home, I don't get hurt as much except for when Kerian is angry at something" Eli seemed to have smoke come out of her ears when Aira mentioned Kerian's name. "I knew there was a reason I didn't like him. I can't wait to get him where it hurts" She seethed."NO. You have to swear on your life-" Aira stopped at Amelia's protective growl. "Fine, just promise me you won't do anything with this information. If you get involved you might find me dead. And you don't want that do you?" Aira stressed to her best friend.

There is a reason I don't want my family and Eli to get involved. Karam will get them. They will get what's coming to them eventually. I like to think as if it would. I know I am just protecting my abusers but I can take the beatings if it keeps Eli and my family from hurting the pack. Father was the beta he always protected the pack. No matter how much they don't deserve it. I want to live up to fathers bravery. Aira thought to herself. Eli goes to protest but Aira sends her pleading eyes and she backs off. Aira mentally thanks her before turning to the rest of her family.   

 "Who wants some food?" Aira asks the group, hoping to disperse the tension. She gets a bunch of mumbled 'I am's'. She heads to the kitchen and starts frying off some bacon eggs for french toast. Her signature pancakes. Cooking is one of Aira biggest stress relievers. With how much stress she has it no wonder she has so many. They keep her calm in moments like this. Halfway through making breakfast, Aira felt some slender arms wrap around her waist. Eli's fruit bowl scent drifts into Aira's nose, causing her to turn around and hug her best friend. "You're going to be okay. Right peanut?" "Of cause I am Butter. I am fine no aren't I" Aira managed to lie convincingly. Eli nods her head and helps with the remainder of the breakfast. Aira calls everyone over once it is all finished they chat as if nothing happened.  Once the clean up is done they all head to their respective rooms to get showered. It was decided that they all go out into town and do whatever caught their interest.
