Some offensive language and mature themes throughout this chapter.  You would have thought that Aira would be used to waking up to kick to her ribs from her "brother". But to Aira, she lived a whole other life before waking up one morning to a loving set of werewolf parents and a d**k of an older brother. "Wake up, dyke" sneered Kieran. Even though the foggy haze of sleep his voice was distinctive. He readies himself to give Aira another blow when he thinks Aira is awake enough. His eyes look cold and distant. Why did you have to sleep on the floor all of last night? Aira asked herself. Even her inner wolf spirit didn't give her an answer. Aira quickly tried to get herself as huddled up as possible so she wouldn't have trouble breathing when she went downstairs. Kieran is just under 6ft tall. shorter than Aira by a few inches. Tough Kieran was built more like their mother. Aira was built like their father, may his soul be at peace with the goddess if you could see past her feminine curves and chest. Kerian had their father's green eyes. Aira on the other hand had a blue left eye like their mother and a purple right eye. Even Aira's hair wasn't like their parents, it more than likely added fule to Keiran's dislike of her. Aira had midnight blue hair. Keiran had curly brown hair like their mother. Kieran repeatedly kicked Aira's arms as she tried to muffle her screams of pain. She hated that she had to act weak like his even her wolf hated the act. The abuse started after their father died. Aira vowed that she wouldn't let Kieran and his friends wouldn't see her cry or get to her. And a few other things she promised her dying father. the only other witness that Alpha Marcus. They can't break me. I am unbreakable. Aira chanted to herself after each kick. "Tell mum and you will regret it!" Kerian grumbled before leaving. When Aira felt she could move she carefully stood up to go about her usual morning routine. It was a lot easier thanks to an ensuite bathroom. Mummy Wynter couldn't stand sleeping in the master bedroom so offered it to Aira after Kerian said no. Aira crept down the stairs leading to the open-plan ground floor. Mummy Wynter stood in front of the stove unaware of Aira coming up behind her. Aira didn't even hide her presence as Alpha Marcus taught her to. Mummy Wynter's breakfasts were to die for. Even in her other life, Aira couldn't think of anything that beats Mummy Wynter's food. "Happy birthday Mummy!" Aira declared behind Mummy Wynter'sack."Holy F-ing sh!t Aira. You almost gave me a heart attack." She said back whilst struggling to get her breath back. She gave Aira a flick to the forehead as punishment. Only making Aira laugh harder. Aira pulled her in for a hug wanted the comfort her hugs bring to Aira as well. Mummy Wynterwas a beautiful woman with long flowy black hair, curves any human woman would kill for. Not to mention her intense sky blue eyes. If Aira was a vain female she would want Mummy Wynter's curves. she like her more masculine build it suited her better. "Tsc. Tsc. Mummy, that's a bad word. You need to put money in the swear jar." Aira said teasingly with a huge smile on her face as she pulls back from mummy Wynter. Mummy Wynter was grumbling under her breath. The swear jar thing would have worked when Aira was 11/12 but she was nearly 18 in this life. Cursing in this family has become second nature, except for Aira. "I am not paying you. YOU NEARLY KILLED ME!" Mummy Wynter playfully yelled at Aira making her flinch a little. Aria shrugged before saying "all's fair in love and war Mummy" Any other person had most likely grown out of calling their mother mummy but Aira it just felt right to call her mummy. She never really had a mother figure like Wynter. Part of Aira thinks Wynter would be sad is she stopped calling her Mummy. Aira didn't plan to stop calling her mummy anytime soon. "Well... Thanks for the birthday wishes Peanut." Wynter replied using the nickname her father had given her when she was a young pup. Aira accepted an outstretched plate of scrambled eggs and bacon. Aria walked over to the nearby island and get comfortable on one of the barstools before digging in. Heavy footsteps came down the stairs followed by lighter ones. Most likely one of Keiran's easy girls from school. Mummy didn't seem to notice the second steps so Aira ignored them. Keiran came over to mummy Wynter and kissed her forehead before taking his plate and sitting opposite Aria. The front door opened and closed with a loud bang. making Mummy Wynter look at Kerian with disgust. She had a rule about bringing girls or boys home on a school night. She took Keirans plate back and removed the bacon and replaced it with avocado slices. Kerian didn't seem to happy to get his bacon taken away it was really the only punishment she could give him since he was the beta heir and needed his phone not to mention he had beta training in the packhouse after school. Aria didn't dare look at Kerian whilst she was eating. After a few minutes, Kerian cleared his throat. Stupidly Aira looked up to see Kerian gesture that he is going to kill her. Thankfully Mummy Wynter didn't see it. Aria's eyes grow wide and a sense of fear fills her stomach Aria quickly clears her plate and puts it in the dishwasher. She gave Mummy Wynter a quick hug goodbye before hightailing it out of the house as quick as she could. what kind of life is this if I don't feel safe in my own home? Aira thought to herself all her wolf could do was nod its head. Once she was about 15 meters away from the house she slowed down to a steady pace to walk to school. In Aira's case, it is both good and bad. The building of Sacred Heart High School was tall and a bit imposing for new students. It took about 15 minutes into came into Aira's view. "Thank goodness" Aira sighed to herself. Now she didn't have to both with her bullies until later on. Aira would still get the occasion shoving and name-calling in between lessons.   It was better than what would happen at lunch. Aira tried her best to not let the harsh words get to her. The bell rang for lunch much to Aira's distress. She took as long as possible to pack up her stuff before leaving the classroom. Her plan worked for about 3 minutes before the teacher kicked her out of the classroom. As the door shuts with a sudden thud Aira is face to face with Alpha heir Alaric and Kerian. Her biggest tormentors. The pair spoke at the same time making their words a lot more threatening. "It's about time you came out. We were thinking about coming in after you." The pair even shared a creepy grin. Aria couldn't help herself shiver more in pleasure than disgust for some reason. She knew it was more to do with Alaric speaking than Kerian. Aira felt conflicted at the fact that she was attracted to her bully. She prayed to the goddess above that he wouldn't be her mate. The bullying would only get worse if he was her mate. Him being her mate was the only explanation that Aira could think of for why she was attracted to him like this. Alpha heir Alaric was a handsome man-boy? He was 18 nearly 19. He had to take an extra year of schooling in the pack high school, unlike other pack wolves even Kerian had to take an extra year with him. He stood at 6ft tall like Kerian. He had a short blonde buzzcut. ocean-like blue-green eyes that you could get lost in. Kerian grabbed Aira's shoulder roughly pulling her from her thoughts. She whimpered in pure fear at knowing she could do nothing to defend herself if she did it would only make them try harder next time. Aira struggled to get out of his grip on account of his wolf claws now digging into her shoulder. She hated the promises she made to her father at times like this. Aira's breath quicken upon realising the hallway was now empty. She prepared herself for the coming pain. Kerian's grip was quickly released only for Aira to find her head hitting the hard brick wall behind Alaric. There was a sickening thud. Aira would likely have a concussion. Her vision was blurry she saw what could have been multiple set of shoes belonging to various pack members. They didn't appear to be Kerian or Alaric's style. Aira help one hand up to the people in front of her as she begged: "please no more?"."what's the matter dyke?" Kerian mocked her. "I thought you liked being surrounded by people.""Your sick" Aira forced out. Using her school bag to protect her vital organs. Keiran growls lowly before reaching for Aira's now exposed ankle. and throwing her against another wall. "Say it again b!tch" He spat at her "Have at it, everyone." He almost ordered the group this time. It didn't take long for the crowd to start to kick the hell out of Aira. Nowhere was safe, she got multiple kicks to the head and stomach. She tried to curl up into the fetal position but to no avail. 2 of her attackers held her legs down Her eyes were swollen shut. she could taste the iron from her blood in her mouth. She was on the verge of passing out. With a final plea while the room was spinning 'Please goddess ... help ... me ' "Enough!" Alaric ordered. Aria couldn't tell where his voice was coming from. "You did a good job. She never looked better" The hallway seemed to fill with laughter. All Aira could do was spit blood out onto the floor. Everyone had let go of Aira so she flinched when someone touched her chin forcing her to look up "Couldn't agree more" Kerian added. "You better get cleaned up. We can't have you being late for class now can we?" He tapped her face with the bottom of his shoe. Aira was relieved to be left alone to heal from her beating. Aira dragged herself down the hall to a nearby bathroom. By the time she got there most of her external injuries where healed. Aira stood there looking in the mirror at her dishevelled appearance. Her neatly combed hair was now a mess her nose and mouth had a trail of blood coming down from them. Her clothes now had footprints and new bloodstains on them.  Aira splashed water on her face and carefully wiped off the stubbed bits of dried blood wincing as she felt some fresh scars. Thankfully they could easily be hidden with makeup or the right top. Aira's scars made her feel ugly even if they were small.  Her nose and eyes began to burn as she looked away from the mirror to cry. She cries when no one can see her or hear her. Aira cried for the pain, the betrayal she felt from the pack turning on her, for herself and finally for father. She knew if he was still around he would have protected her. The man had a sixth sense for when she was in trouble. Aira loved him even more for it. All the man had to do was show up and things would be okay.  I miss him so much Aira whispered.  After her crying session, Aira didn't feel like going back to classes. Instead, she left the school to go to the one place she could find her Father. The cemetery. If she could live there she would. The gates creaked open. making the few Ravens and Crows present to fly away from the noise. It didn't take her long to find her fathers' headstone.  She ran her fingers over words engraved on the soft stone as more tears threaten to fall. They fell freely since Aira didn't want to hold them in. Aria engaged in a one-sided conversation with her father knowing he is probably listening while sitting by the goddess's side. She stays there till sunset knowing that her bullies would have given up looking for her.  Remember when Aira said she was unbreakable maybe that's a lie since you can probably guess she is a bit broken already
