After the lead officer listened to the recording, his expression hardened.
"Enough. All of you, shut your mouths. You're adults. Do any of you have even the slightest understanding of the law? You got greedy and tried to cozy up to someone you thought was rich and powerful. Then, when you got scammed, you refused to blame yourselves and turned on the one person who tried to warn you."
The officer stepped closer to me, then pointed sternly at the others.
"Ms. Linden already warned you. More importantly, she is the victim here. You trespassed on her property. If any of you continue harassing Ms. Linden, I'll have you brought in for harassment and disorderly conduct."
