Chapter three::covert agreement

In the days that followed the marriage, the once-lustrous mansions of Samuel and Christopher became a breeding ground for secrets and whispers. It was known that Olivia and Sebastian where still having affairs with their old lovers Daniel and Sophia respectively. Daniel and Olivia have been in a two years secret relationship prior to her marriage with Sebastian, but her parents have always been against the relationship due to the fact that Daniel isn't from a wealthy and power family. On the other hand Sebastian was still in love with Sophia who is from a very poor background but they manage to keep their relationship from their families.

The ongoing relationships of Olivia and Sebastian with Daniel and Sophia had unraveled, exposing a vulnerability in the carefully constructed tapestry of their familial alliance.

It was a huge some of money that both of them couldn't resist and even if they decided to refuse Samuel and Christopher didn't give them much of a choice. Sophia had no choice because this was her chance to leave the country and pursue her dreams while having a lot of money to take care of her sick mother and herself. On the other hand, Daniel also had no choice, he knew he couldn't compete with money and power and so they both agreed to it.

As the door closed behind them, sealing their decision, the lives of Daniel and Sophia were set on a trajectory that would lead them far from the familiar streets of their past.
