LIFEGUARDS; THE COMPASS

Kevin entered his room, and was looking for the switch to turn on the light then he heard the voice again saying "I finally found you". Kevin was so shocked that he couldn't move an inch and he felt someone walking towards him then he turned and saw his mum behind him,

The teenage boy bolted into his mother's arms, trembling with fear, his unexpected terror sending a shiver of dread through her. She kept asking him what was going on but before he could say anything he turned to his room and saw the lights was turned on, then he told his mum nothing and said he missed her that was why and they both smiled, an she left his room in total confusion.

Two days later, Kevin was ready for school and ran downstairs for breakfast then they both took off after breakfast. When they arrived at school, Kevin said to his mum "I love you" And left immediately before his mum could even reply. On his way to class, someone greeted him, he turned and it was one of his classmate, Q, Who they met at the cafeteria the other day. He introduced himself as Mark and said to him "you can call me Q too" Then he said nice to meet you, they shoke hands and they both walked to class. Q asked him if he likes their school then Kevin replied "it's quite okay but I feel there are some mysteries in it." And Q turned to him curiously asking what are the mysteries exactly , Kevin just smiled and They entered the classroom. When they we're sitting in class Q kept staring at Kevin. Few minutes later Tessa entered the classroom, on her way to her seat she said hi to Kevin and he replied and asked her how her night was and she replied it was okay quite surprised by the question. The class representative, Jane entered the class and announced that there's going to be a test tge following week and the whole class screamed in anger then she walked to her seat and said Hi to Kevin and he reciprocated the greetings. Few moments later, the teacher entered the class and they all greeted in congregation.

During lunch break, Kevin was planning to enter the dark classroom again to find out what kept calling his name and why. Q came to him immediately the bell rang and asked him what he's planning and to involve him in that plan. Kevin asked him if he could trust him with a secret, Q agreed then he told him about the dark classroom and Q told him he is also aware that there is something inside. Kevin asked him if it also called his name and he said yes. Q asked him if there could be more people and what is the reason for that. Kevin turned to him and said " we need to find out".

They left the classroom together walking towards the dark classroom room when Kevin opened the door and they both entered immediately someone held the door from closing. Tessa and Jane saw then leaving the classroom and saw walking towards the classroom and followed them curious about what they we're up to. They both stopped the door from closing and entered, Kevin and Q we're surprised to see them and both asked what they were up to then Tessa replied "we we're following both of you." Tessa turned on the flashlight on her phone and the four of them turned and the door was gone. Jane asked if its just her or is the door they just walked through gone. Kevin said "we need to keep moving" and they did just that.

They kept moving forward until they saw another door and they ran to it and opened it and they saw a mountain on the other end. Tessa said "I have a bad feeling about this" and Kevin said he feels the same immediately they heard the voice again call out to Kevin, the all screamed and ran though the door. When they turned the door was gone. Jane started crying and kept saying repeatedly "we are all going to die." Q held her and told her "we'll all find our way back home and told her to be strong so that we can make it out alive." They kept looking around because it was dark it the classroom and now its afternoon in the forest. Kevin's bag started glowing and everyone screamed. Kevin dropped his bag and removed everything inside and they all saw the glow was coming from a compass. Tessa asked him how he got the Compass, Kevin replied my dad gave it to me and then she asked him what happened to his dad exactly and he replied he doesn't know but he feels he is not dead but trapped somewhere.

They kept moving forward then Kevin asked them if that voice also called out to their name and they all affirmed to it to his surprise. Q added that they should be someone else in here from school since that classroom has existed before they got admitted into the school. Kevin decided to follow the compass the direction of the compass which kept pointing to the north. They kept following it till they arrived in front of a tree. They stopped looking at the size of the tree then they heard a voice saying "welcome" And they all turned and saw a beautiful lady in a gown. Q asked her "why is there a forest in one of the classes in my school"And she replied that the forest was not in the school but the forest invited them. they all asked why? And she said she doesn't have an answer but they need to talk to a lifeguard to find the answer. She turned to Kevin and told him he has something that belongs to the forest, something that can prevent the demon from entering the human world. Kevin asked if it was the voice they all heard and she affirmed to it. Q asked what the demon wants and she said what does Kevin have in his possession that could be useful and they all said the compass. She said that's correct. they need to return the compass to the rightful position. Q uttered, this is going to be fun. The lady asked them to keep following the direction on the compass, they thanked her and continued their journey until they reached the front of a cave and someone called Kevin's name again. They kept staring at the cave and someone walked out of it. Kevin stood shocked and said "Dad" and everyone turned to him shocked.
