After the little girl threatened to kill Kevin the next time they meet, Q asked Jace how is Kevin supposed to fight a demon that control people with her mind. Jace told them they need to go back with him to their base. They all went back to the cave and they saw a door inside, Q asked if the door was here they first time they stayed here. Jace opened the door and they all went through it they were all amazed by the beauty of the otherside. They saw some teenagers with uniforms, kevin asked if this is a school and Jace replied "its a school for the gifted, only the gifted children can have acess to it." He took them to his office and informed them that he is the head of the school to everyones surprise. Tessa asked why they weren't sent home but to a school in another dimension. Jace told them the name of the school is "Academy of the other side." And they all need training to protect themselves from the demon and to protect kevin from being killed.he continued to explain to them the reason they were lured into the forest and told them the voices they heard was the demon, he couldnt harm them in the real world so he lured them into the forbidden forest to take the compass from kevin. Q asked how the rest of them are involved then, and he replied all of them are the choosen lifeguards to protect the human world but one of them is the choosen one to balance the two worlds. Kevin asked if the compass the little girl stole is going to harm them in anyway, Jace replied "the compass is useless without the one who possesses it, thats why she has to kill you first and destroy the tree." his words made them scared then he added that he is going to train them and make them the best so that they can protect the two relm because if they fail to before the tre dies the demons will break into the human world and cause distruction. Kevin looks so frightened but Q tried to calm him down. Jace showed them to their rooms and told them training will begin the next day. They entered their rooms and met new friends and introduced themselves using alphabet because the last thing Jace told them is to never disclose their names. Kevin introduced himself as K and Q introduced himself as Q, Tessa introduced herself as T and Jane introduced herself as J.

The next morning it was time for training, Jace taught them personally they were terible at everything they tried they couldnt use the sword nor shoot an arrow,Jace was so frustrated and telling them they are going to die at this rate. They kept training for days and he kept calling them by the new names they made which is the first letter of their names.

On the twenty eight of their training Jace took them to a secret rom in his office and showed them the painting of all the lifeguards in the human world that have protected their world in secret against demons. They couldnt really see the faces clearly though. Kevin saw a dagger on a table and walked straight to it leaving the rest behind,it felt like the dagger was calling him, he was about to touch the dagger when jace held his hand, He told him he is not ready to hold it yet and of he ia not strong enough the he might die if he touches it. Kevin moved away from it in shock.

They went back to training and they were more determined than ever. They all tried to one of the weapon given to them. Q picked the arrow so did J. T and K picked up a sword each. They continued to train for days till they became one of the best. Jace arranged a tounament between them and they new classmates and they all won respectively. when it was night fall after they eat at the dinning room they went to their respective rooms,on their way to their rooms Jane told them she keeps thinking about her parent and keeps wondering how many days has passed overthere since they were told time here was different.Q said he also hopes they are not gone to too long in their world because their parents might not be able to handle it then he told them Goodnight and they lal entered their respective rooms. They were all asleep at night, kevin had a dream again and that voice was calling his name, he kept following the voice in the forest until he reached the tree and he saw the little girl that stole the compass beside the tree but this time the tree is about to die the leaves on it were very few. The little girl told him that while laughing that its almost over because she is going to destroy the tree and that can only happen if he is dead, she tried to attack him and he blocked the attack with the dagger he saw in the secret room , he woke up immediately. When he woke up he stoop up and walked out of the room. He kept walking fowards Jace's office. When he entered he went straight to the secret room and went to the dagger he was about to touch it when he remembered what jace said ro him about dying if he is not ready. He turned to leave then the dagger started glowing he walked to it and held it , his eyes were shut when he held it, when he opened them, they were glowing...
