Kevin and his mum where having their breakfast, Kevin asked "what happened to dad exactly". Kevin's mum was shocked and dropped her spoon staring at her son. She asked Kevin why he asked when she told him his dad died when he was two. Kevin told his mum that he is sure that his dad didn't just die something happened to him. His mum stared at him totally startled then she said "you are right, your dad didn't just die something happened" before she could utter the next word, they heard a loud sound from the kitchen and they both went to check and they saw a chartered mug on the floor, they both turned to each other surprised, Kevin told his mum "is it just me or is this incident impossible, there's no one else here right?, Well, looks like the ghost wanted coffee and didn’t appreciate our mug selection!" They bot laughed,

Kevin turned to his mum and she said no then she smiled and said "it must be a coincidence" And Kevin left looking the kitchen confused.he went straight to his room to study. When he was going through his books, his mum knocked and entered his room. She sat on his bed and said to him;"Your dad was a wonderful person who loved you very much. He had to leave us, but he’s always watching over you, and we’ll always carry his love with us." Then she added that she will tell him about his dad when the time is right. She stood up to leave and she was reminded she was going out so she asked him if he'd like to accompany her to a friends house and he agreed instantly. then asked her to wait for him downstairs. When his mum left he said to himself"so my mum has a friend "then smiled to himself while going to pick up the jacket on his bed.

When they both arrived at the her friend's home, his mum asked him to behave well and to greet the elders properly like a typical Nigeria guy, he smiled and nodded in affirmation. then they both left the car. Mrs Laura came out of the house and greeted then with a warm smile, she turned to him and said you have grown so tall and handsome, Kevin smiled, she told Kevin she and his mom have been friends since they we're little and the got separated because she moved out of town and shes back now with her daughter then she led them into the house.

As they stepped into the parlor, the room seemed to glow with elegance.decorated by beautiful paintings, Rich velvet drapes framed the tall windows, allowing just enough light to dance on the polished marble floor. A chandelier of crystal teardrops shimmered above, casting soft rainbows across the gold-trimmed furniture. The air was thick with the scent of fresh blooms from the grand bouquet on the center table.

Just as they were taking in the opulence, a movement from the staircase caught their eyes. She descended like a vision, each step as graceful as the flicker of candlelight. For a moment, the beauty of the room paled in comparison to her radiance, leaving them breathless.

A familia voice greeted my mum and she went to hug her, she turned and he saw her face, he was shocked and Exclaimed " Tessa" in surprise. She then replied "Hi" their mum's smiled at each other like they predicted this would happen. Mrs laura asked Kevin if he and her daughter Tessa get along and he affirmed by nodding. Mrs laura asked Tessa to show Kevin around the house while she and his mum discussed, so she agreed.

When Tessa and Kevin on their tour upstairs, she asked him why he agreed they we're friends, Kevin replied " Because they are ". Tessa showed him a painting of a tree, she told him she told him shes drawn to the painting and theres something captivating about it. Kevin kept staring at the painting and he replied indeed! Tessa was surprised by the answer . Kevin turned to her and smiled and said to her. When they entered tessa's room it was like an art gallery, kevin said ;"you room is beautifully decorated, I like the way the paintings bring the space to life". Kevin kept staring and didn't utter a single word after that then tessa asked him if he loves paintings that much, he uttered, yes then Tessa smiles again. She then explained to him that her entire family have a deep passion for art especially paintings that's why her house is decorated with a lot of paintings, They were interrupted when they heard Kevin's mum call out to him and they both answered and rushed downstairs. They both said goodbye then Kevin left with his mum. On their way back home his mum asked him what he thinks of her friend and he said she's okay and she has a pretty daughter who is now his friend.his mum turned to him and smiled.kevin asked her what they we're discussing about and she replied they were catching up. Kevin then asked what Happened to Tessa's dad and she replied ;"he had an accident ", she turned her head the other direction immediately which might be because there's more to what she said.

When they got back home he told his mum he is feeling sleepy and wants to take a nap . When he entered his room it was dark so he tried to reach the switch of the light, he heard the voice again calling of his name, he stood there shocked and the voice said "I finally found you." He couldn't move he tried so hard to but he felt a force preventing him from moving , As the figure approached, a jolt of disbelief shot through him like ice coursing through his veins. Time seemed to stand still,His heart raced, pounding , trying to break free from a cage of dread. An invisible weight kept pressing him down as if the very air had thickened to hold him in place. Every instinct screamed to run, but he was ensnared, caught in a whirlwind of shock and horror, unable to comprehend the reality of his presence....
