~    I lay my head down on the counter, putting my weight up against the counter as well.     I have to make things right. I have to show her that I didn’t mean what I said. I hear the front door open. I take in a breath...I let it out.     “Stupid keys.” I silently laugh at my mom. Always putting in the wrong key for the door.    “June?” I lift up my head from the counter to find her staring at me, confusion on her face.    Usually I’d be in my room by the time she came home. We wouldn’t say a word to each other. Not even when we came down to eat dinner.
