~    The rain was pounding against my car so hard I thought it was going to break the glass.    Lightning was flashing everywhere I looked, making me feel nervous at the wheel. Thunder roared out at me, causing me to jump every time I heard it.     “It’s okay June, I’m right here.” Brian had to keep reminding me that he was there so I wouldn’t flip out while on the road.     “Where are we headed to again?” I ask once a flash of lightning cracks the sky, causing me to swerve on the slick road. My heart pounds against my chest like a drum, that I could feel the heart pound in my throat.     “To the bowling alley, Just a little ways up from here, then take a right.”     I nod quickly, gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles turn white.
