Alexander’s POV

I wake up seeing her head on my chest, her legs on top of mine, and her hands around my waist. She looks so fragile and soft. She stirs after a while and seeing the position in which we are she wiggles and try to move away from me. I hold her tightly and tell her to stay to which she agrees and hides more into me to which I could not help but chuckle. I am playing with her hair as her phone rings, I let her go when she looks up to me, It’s Claire and Sam, guess they might be worried about her. I see the watch pointing 7:00 already, I need to get ready today I have an important meeting to attend at 9:30 need to prepare some stuffs for that too. I inform Ava in actions and go to get ready. By the time I come down, Ava is already in the kitchen and has set the table for breakfast. I love this, waking up to see her by my side, the breakfast she prepares for me, the togetherness. It has been 2 days and I feel I am the happiest husband ever. After finishing, I take my leave, Ava kisses me on cheeks looking like a teenage girl kissing her boyfriend, and I could not help but tease her a bit. I kiss her back close to her lips and brush off my knuckles on her cheeks. For the first time I have had this feeling of ditching office just for her, I should leave otherwise I really won’t be able to go.

It’s quarter past 9 when I my secretary inform that they are here. The CEO has arrived. I move my way downstairs to find a man standing and talking to people, he might be the CEO, but then the whole team starts running and greet a girl. I just see her back, it seems she’s young, and I have seen her somewhere? When she turns over towards me I am shocked to find it is no other than Ava. She’s the CEO? I run the neurons in my brain then it strikes me, it is Uncle James Company so yes Ava will be the CEO. I find her mirroring my shocking expression then she asks something to that same man I saw earlier, and she nods when he tells her something. Why this guy is getting all cozy with her? I set aside this jealousy and walk up to welcome them. Brax says “Welcome to the company Ms CEO” she extends her hands towards me “Ava Knight” “Knight?” “Is she married to someone having the same surname as Mr Alexander knight?” We had no paparazzi and only friends and family wedding, so that means no word went out. Everyone knows we both are married, but to whom no one knows. I take her introduction as a keep it a secret signal. I smile and shake hands with her “Alexander Knight, Welcome to Knight Industries Mrs Knight!” bring up her hand and kiss her knuckles. She doesn’t blush this time, but a smile seeps out. Meanwhile I hear hushed communications everywhere “is he the same cold old Boss?” “This woman must be beautiful for our boss not to handle his emotions” “He has never been near any woman. What is happening? Are we hallucinating” “Shall we proceed with the presentation? I don’t need to waste anyone’s time” “Please Ms CEO, follow us” Brax says.

We sit in the presentation hall and one by one each of the team members are presenting their ideas, but my eyes are all set to Ava, who occasionally glares at me for staring at her and I find it quite cute. I see that man her secretary or I should say Claire’s secretary which I got to know during our pre-presentation conversation moving closer towards her and she is trying her best to maintain the distance. What the hell? I am all angered up and bump my fist on the table which attracts everyone’s attention. “Let’s take a break of 5 minutes” Ava says, everyone gets up and continue moving out. Brax eyes me and I tell him to go “Mrs Knight, may I have a word with you?” “You all go ahead” “Sure Mam” When everyone is gone and the door closes I pin up her to the wall and cage her between my arms. “Alex, relax” “I can’t Ava, you saw that man being all touchy. I rip his head off” Ava smiles “Someone’s getting jealous” “How can you laugh Ava, I don’t like it at all and I’ll show it to him now” I move away from her, but she stops me by kissing on my cheeks again and I halt I see Ava pouting at me and telling “Alex, let me handle it please, pretty please” I smile at her pout and gently peck on her lips out of the heat. We both froze at that. Suddenly the door opens and Mike that secretary walks in “What is this? Mam are you ok?” “Mike, meet my husband Alex” “Alex, this is Claire’s secretary, and Mike next time you walk in keep in mind your manners, Do I make myself clear?” “I_I am so sorry Mam, Sir, I’ll_I’ll be out” “No need, tell everyone to assemble” “Sure, Mam” he stutters and exits, “You and your aura are totally different when you be professional” “Just like you dear hubby!” Everyone walks in soon “Mrs Knight will be sitting with me, we have some discussions to make” Ava and I are sitting side by side, her concentration is on the presentation while mine in on her. I hold her hand and start drawing circles on it, she tries to pry off but I don’t let go she writes “Concentrate” on her notepad but I still don’t let her go. When the presentation ends everyone looks up to me for the decision. “I think we can go with combining the ideas of both the sides I have one of my favorites from your team Mrs. Knight, you might be having one from mine, so what do you say?” “I think it’s a good idea, but 2 presentations won my interest, I want 50-50 of both to be combined and make them one, and we can then combine to that of my team” “Prefect Then! So do we need schedule any meetings for tomorrow?” “I would be out for the whole day, so our Vice President will attend if we plan any” I am confused what Ava said, where will she be? “Brax, please arrange one during day time, as I won’t be available after 4 PM. Mrs. Knight let me show you around” “Sure, but I’ll be here only for next 30 minutes.” “No problem, let’s go” I held her hand and brisk her away from everyone to my office. “It has a nice interior Alex” “Do you like it?” “Yes, very much, Can we get the same interior for decorating put home a bit, if you don’t mind?” “Not at all, tell me when you’re free, I’ll also take some time off and we can meet him” “Okk” “Ava, what’s it about tomorrow?” “I also got this information on my way here, I have to be at this charity function for my NGO’s. I will have to leave early morning and hopefully I’ll be back by night” “We have an award function tomorrow night, and I am being awarded, so I thought it will be a best place to introduce you as my wife” Ava walks up to me and sits beside me on the sofa, she places her small fragile hands on my hands and says “I will be back by the function. I will be with you” “No Ava, it will be very hectic for you” “Alex, I want this, please?” “So, when do you leave tomorrow?” “After having breakfast with you! But we have to make it 30 minutes early by 8, is it ok?” “Sure thing!” “I’ll leave then, I have to prepare a lot for tomorrow, and be home waiting for my husband by 8” she teases me “hahaha! Sure” We hear knocking “Come in” Brax walks in, and sees me sitting with Ava hand in hand “Brax meet my wife Ava” he is stunned “Wife?” “Hi Brax, I am Ava Emma Alexander Knight, Nice to meet you” “Hello Mam, Nice to meet my bosses boss” Ava chuckles at this “I’ll be going now Alex, see you, and don’t forget to have lunch ok?” nodding I walk up to her and hug her waving a bye.
