Alexander’s POV

“I am planning to donate some amount in certain NGO’s, orphanages and old age homes. Find some near ones so that I can visit during office hours also” I ask my secretary Mr. Phill “Understood Mr. Knight, anything else for today, Sir?” “No, that’s it, Thank you!” before Mr. Phill leaving I suddenly remember “Ohh and yes Mr. Phill, please take rest of the day off, I know you have to attend Annual function at Michael’s school today” At this Mr. Phill’s eyes brighten up “You remembered?” I simply nod “Thank you Sir, I’ll assign someone to take care of my tasks” “There’s no need, I’ll manage for today, you can leave immediately and enjoy”. Mr. Phill smiles from ear to ear, bows and then leaves my office.

“Uncle David, I have an important meeting with the clients on a nearby diner, I’ll be down in 5 mins, please make the ride ready, Thank you!” with that I storm off my office not to be late. On my way on the red light, I see a young girl may be 27, running with a bleeding child in her hands. I froze at that, the child is bleeding heavily, and the girl is trying to keep her cool with somehow managing to run fast. No one else is helping her on the roads, just some mere spectators. I run out of the car behind her and see her entering an orphanage Mother’s Care.

“Call Dr. Samantha immediately, It is an emergency” I hear her telling to one of the staff as she places the child on the stretcher “Sure Mam, will you be waiting in your office? We will take care of him” “No need, I’ll be with him, hurry up now” Is she the Chief here or the Manager? Out of curiosity I ask one of the staff “Excuse me please, who’s the lady that carried the injured boy?” “She’s the Ms. Williams owner, Sir” I could not help but follow her but maintain my distance. This is just because I want to donate in a good NGO, I think to myself.

She’s talking to the Doctor “Sam, just save him please” “Aviiee are you aware this could be a police case, you even don’t know him, his parents, you don’t know how the accident happen, how could you be so naïve and take him here that also running and leaving your car behind. Do you even know if something had happened to you when you were being a lunatic, what would happened to everyone in your family, all of your employees?” So her name is Aviiee Williams I suppose and though I did not like the commanding tone of the doctor but she was saying all true. “Sam, cut the crap I’ll take care of everything else” I am quite surprised at this threatening tone of Ms. Williams. “Yes sure, Mam” “Sam, please calm down ok?, You know I will handle if anything is a mess, and believe me everything is under control” The doctor just nods at her pleading tone and says “Av, you have never been careless once, I trust you on this, but please don’t repeat you running on the roads between vehicles coming in going stunt again” Ms. Williams hugs the Doctor and says “I will Sam, please save him for me, and thanks for being you” “You can trust me, Sara please give her some water and orange juice, and Av you sit here and rest for a while, you have meeting with the Board of directors in 1 hr, just freshen up and I’ll be done by then. We can go together” “Thanks Sam”. They are close friends I assume.

Up until now I just saw her back and heard her voice, I am attracted I couldn't deny on the fact i wanted to see her face, but always someone comes up covering her from me. I could not see any flaw in her, she was so caring for an unknown, good person at heart, her height her body, those curves, she seems perfect to me. I automatically started walking towards her not to hide anymore but at te same moment my phone started buzzing. Shitt! I completely forgot about my meeting. I back off a bit to attend the phone call. I am late by 30 damn mins. Everything from seeing her on roads running out for her, Uncle David shouting up for me replays in slow motion. I should not wait here longer but I am reluctant to go without seeing her face but I had to. I found Uncle David at the square I had left and hoping on the car we drive to the diner as fast as we can.

After the meeting I got home late at night, showered and immediately dozed off thinking about Ms. Williams.

Sunshine shown over me from the curtains, I woke up and started thinking of the girl again. I am smitten by her, although I agree to disagree at the thought, somewhere I know it cannot be helped. I should get to know her, I have to meet her. With this new found resolution, I immediately dial to Mr. Phill. “Brax, I need you to sign up for donation in Mother’s care orphanage and I would like to visit the orphanage frequently so set my schedules accordingly please, thanks, see you in office” Brax had arranged everything for today by the time I reached office. I had appointment at the orphanage at 4 in the evening, by then all my meetings will be finished. I need to rush off to it.

It’s close to 4 PM and I am driving to Mother’s Care, I park my car and get out to see a girl with a bunch of kids playing basketball, some kids cheering and some kids throwing water on them, it has to be Aviiee my inner self told. One after the other I see her throwing balls in the basket and bumping fists with the kids. I see Doctor Samantha, if I am correct walking towards the ground and shouting “Av” at the same time. There she turns, her face towards me now. I stand dead on my tracks, seeing her move her wet muddy hair strands, round face, cute nose, large eyes, and those plump pink lips. She had no makeup at all, yet she was beautiful, having all those perfect built up body. I feel my lips going dry and lick them immediately. Doctor Sam shouts again “Run fast, we have to go for a meeting in 30 mins and you have to take a shower” at this I see her sprinting off inside the orphanage. I try to run after her but stopped when kids urge me to play with them as they had one player missing. I may be cold to those who slack off, but can never say to kids even if my life’s at risk. I start playing with them and see that 20 mins have already passed, I call out for a break of 5 mins so that I can look for her.

As I start moving towards the entrance I see her running to her car and her scent hits me, I keep watching her retreating figure, again almost no makeup, all professional clothes and those wet hairs. I missed her again today, I smile to myself “Until next time Ms. Williams”. It was fun with the kids, I had donated 1 million to the orphanage and promised the kids to visit again. I have some free time next weekend, may be then I be able to meet her in person.

Days don’t pass quickly, but its weekend and I will be able to visit the orphanage today. With that thought in mind I dress up in casuals, just a white t-shirt and blue denim jeans, my watch, my phone and my wallet, all set to go. I drive up to the orphanage, and ask about Ms. Williams at the reception. “She’ll be at the drawing hall, please take straight from here and turn left” I follow the instructions and reach up the drawing room to see her in glasses covering up her beautiful eyes, giggling with the kids while playing with colors, she’s such a kid. I am interrupted again by one of the staff seeking certain details about the goods that I brought for kids today and turn my back to the drawing room. When I am done, I find her missing again. Ughh! Where did she go now?

I open and close all the rooms that I find on my way to the reception. “I was not able to meet Ms. Williams, can you tell me again where is she please” “Sorry Sir, she just now left with one of her friend” sighing I take my interrupted ass from the orphanage. 2 weeks passed and I was not able to visit the orphanage because of my tight schedule. When I went there again with an excuse to meet up the kids, I found her busy with the members of board in a meeting. “She won’t be free for today Sir, she has back to back meetings”. I am quite irritated thinking of my luck and dash off the orphanage. I immediately dial my private agent “Find me details of the owner of Mother’s Care orphanage, you have got 1 week for it, get me all the details, I would appreciate if you’ll be able to do it soon”.
