Ava’s POV
I still couldn’t believe my eyes that The Alexander Knight is sitting in front of me, we have started our little conversation with introductions. He apologized for being late and explaining that the reason behind it, and I was kinda ok with it, because I know how much busy one can be with all the responsibility.
I came to know he was the one because of whom Xave sulked all he’s wedding day. I chuckled at this, and he noticed this immediately, and I responded to his questioning eyes, that Xave sulked all the day missing his best man. He had a graved expression and he was quick to respond that he got a good beating from Xave for this. He was out for some business deal and got caught up. I could not help but laugh out louder, he’s such a kid.
Soon we had our dinner on the table and I was surprised to see that all were my favorites. I then hear Alex smiling sheepishly and telling that he got the list from Claire and had ordered while on his way. I was touched at this gesture, I like little things that make me happy and this was one of them. "So Sweet of you thank you so much".
I was feeling comfortable now around him, but still was very giddy at the thought, had butterflies take over my stomach every time he looked at me, his chuckling, his way of making me at ease I even liked his smirk. So odd. I never felt so attracted to a guy earlier. I guess Alex is different. Is he the one for me?
"I am no good at dating and stuff, I’ll be upfront I never dated earlier, had no girls around me and I even have a rumor going around everywhere I go, that I am gay". I spilled the juice I had been drinking when I heard Alex say this, embarrassing. Both Alex and I were taken aback with my reaction. Something clicked and he immediately stated, "if at all you’re thinking this I should tell you, I am not gay". I could not control more the laughter I had suppressed. Alex understood and we both ended up laughing hysterically. "I would never think that you’re gay", I reply. "And why would that be?" Alex asked smirking. "Umm, Claire would never pair me up with a gay". "Well, that’s true, but I would not mind to prove it to you". This made me blush harder than I already was. I am sure my face is all red, I can’t even look up to Alex and I know he is smirking hard. I was thankful to the waiter who arrived at the perfect moment and saved me from being more embarrassed than I am already.
We had a little chit chat about our family, his parents, mine, and our extended family. Alex is the only child and Xavier is his cousin, he does not have any Aunt unlike me. Both Xave’s and Alex’s father are twins. I have quite a big family, my Father are 2 brothers in one sister and he’s the eldest one like me, my mother single child, so I don’t have anyone from my mother’s side after my maternal grandparents expired. I have 5 brothers all younger to me out of which 2 are of my Aunt’s and one of my Uncle’s.
