The Date-I

Alexander’s POV

Today is the day I’ll meet her, get to know her. I have got this chance and I will not miss it at any cost. Don’t judge me at this, but she came out clean with the investigation I told Lucas to perform on her, until that I was not aware that she is my sister in law Claire’s best friend, otherwise it wouldn’t be necessary. I woke up all happy started my day early as I could not sleep at the night again, reached office early to finish my work early.

I had been busy with back to back meetings, did not get my lunch. By the time I am finished I see the clock showing 5:45 PM, I am doomed! It will take 15 mins to reach at the restaurant that was decided. Damnit!! I immediately walk up to parking lot and take keys from Uncle Dave, telling him that I’ll drive by myself today, and he can go home early taking the other car that I have it parked up just for emergencies like this.

I drive with full speed that I can attain with all the traffic. In the meantime, I call up at the restaurant to prepare all favorite dishes of Ava that I got from Claire. Oh thank heavens I have Claire’s and Xavier’s support at this. I am no good when it comes to dates or girls per say. I reach up at the restaurant 5 mins late and as I walk up to the entrance I see Ava sitting by the table all engrossed on her phone, with a cute frown on her face. (Pause) Did I just say cute? I guess Xave is right, I am completely whipped.

I take my sweet time looking at her and approaching her at the same time. Soon she looks up, and her eyes follow my trail. She knows me, she definitely does not just as a billionaire bachelor, there is something more to it and her expression says it all. She has spaced out, and when I extend my hand she quickly masks off whatever is going on her pretty head and shakes it gently, when I see her shiver at the touch. I find it quite nice that she is affected by me, but controlling the smirk that has escaped I ask her to make ourselves comfortable and kick off a conversation.
