Annoying Aaron
He's the only one that annoys the hell out of me and Raleigh. Mom gave him the perfect name, must knowing that he was gonna be annoying. Aaron plays piano and the drums and guitar. He's also the fourth round of my parents. Aaron taught me and Dylan a few notes on music just like Gabe taught Dylan the drums who was also taught by Aaron. Aaron "the annoying bird" Burkes has brown eyes, curly quiff hair and has chinky eyes that Mom gave him during the offspring exchangement.
I'm in Culinary class which I do share with Oliver, he's better at cooking than me. He's a good chef at making homemade foods by just scratch alone. Oliver is just 1 out the eight boys in the family and from my mother, who can cook, plus me and Chloe who are pretty good at it. But we refuse to each other's food. We have our opinions on things, especially when it comes to cooking. Chloe because I might've tapped it with a little roofies or something with a little help from Gabe—which I would—and her because she probably threw in some smart spells in mines. I'm a little imaginative as well, I might as well just say.
"Pour a little more olive oil in your pans and add the chopped celery and onions to it," Mrs. Myers said pouring her oil and chopped vegetables. Beverly West, poured her onions and celery into her frying pan before adding in her flour mixture and eggs. Mrs. Myers gave her a open mouth.
"Ms. West what do you think you're doing? We didn't get there yet." Beverly looked up and smiled at Mrs. West,
"Yeah, I know," Beverly spoke, "we're making German Caesarean casserole." Myers looked at me and Oliver—who's my culinary partner—and we both shrugged our shoulders at her. Beverly and Justin's father is from Germany, aka Eve aka Beverly knows every German recipe memorized. Justin said that she has this disorder called Hyperthymesia, she's one of twelve persons on the world who has it but she always keeps it turned off—a lot.
"Do you know anything about German food?" Myers asked her. Beverly nodded her head, smiling at Mrs. Myers.
"My father's from Germany," she says pointing at her wrist, which means her blood. She can be a bit weird too. "Me and Justin basically grew up learning about our heritage, and eating their food. My Dad taught me every meal in the German cook books." Myers looked confused as Eve went on.
"Name anything from Germany and I can blow you away," Eve smiled, leaned forward and ready for any question that Myers can throw at her. Myers shook her head and went back to her cooking lesson. Oliver turns to Beverly and she gave a smile and shrugged shoulders.
"I think Myers is gonna have to drag up on Beverly's grades," Oliver leaned over to me. I looked at him, pouring the lettuce into the frying pan in front of me.
"She can but Beverly is going to wring her neck one way or another," I said putting my head back and putting a raw tomato skin in my mouth and chewing on it. Oliver gave me a disgusted look and I smiled at him before turning my pan on low following Myers' orders.
"How can you eat something so raw and tasteless?" Oliver asked me. "You and Kaden are the only two who can eat something so raw and untouched."
"I drink a teaspoon of Natural Virgin Olive Oil everyday, it's doesn't taste like anything," I said. "You should try it someday. It's very healthy."
"Healthy or deadly?" he said with a sarcastic look.
"Both," I said now with a stuffed face, smiling. Oliver looked at Mrs. Myers and she smiled at him before turning to face the class.
"Now, just add a pinch of salt and vinegar in your pan then add in your chicken tender," Myers said adding her salt and vinegar and her chicken tender. Me and Oliver doing our parts, and the condiments made my eyes burn. I gotta a text from Justin, and looked at Beverly who was just cutting up her chicken tender with the butcher knife.
"Mrs. Myers may I be excused?" I raised my hand. She turned and bobbed her head and I grabbed my bag and rushed to the door. I made my way to my locker, grabbed my skateboard then rushed to the gymnasium, and went into the boys locker room and found myself face to face with Justin. He's dressed in his grey V-neck shirt and dark green pants and dark boots.
"Ready to Catch Chickens?" he asked me smiling. I didn't have to answer, I just grabbed him by his wrist and pulled him out the back door towards the soccer field. We jogged our way to the end of the field and threw my skateboard down and skated my ways to Justin's city black Jeep. Justin doesn't skateboard, but he's one hell of a fast runner. He's a soccer God but he should try out for track instead, I bet he'll beat every chicken leg in the circle.
When we got to his car, he unlocked it and I jumped in the passenger's seat and he got in the drivers. He started the car as I threw my skateboard in the back seat and Justin pulled off outta the school's parking lot. Happy as hell to be outta the school.
"I was hoping you wouldn't be the in detention center," he said, throwing his book bag in the back seat. "It's easy to get in but hard to get out."
"With your good looks and charms its easy for you to get in and out everywhere," I said putting a cherry lollipop in my mouth, and my feet up on the dash with my hands behind my head.
"Yeah and of course Lillian has to get goo-goo eyes on me," he said, his arm resting on the boxboard between us, and his left arm hanging over the steering wheel.
"She's not as smart as you." I looked at him, and he looked at me, and smiled.
"You are smart, Rale's," he said, "but not like your sister."
"And I don't wanna be," I said. "Gemma and Axilla are gonna have me and Gabe's asses after school today."
"What happened?" he said, his arm resting over the steering wheel. I told him that Gabe pulled up the notes that he permanently borrowed from Meems' class.
"Wanna stay at my place?" he asked looking at me from the road.
"Would your parents be okay with it?" I asked pulling the lollipop from my mouth. Justin's parents are super fun to be with. Especially his Mom, who calls me her daughter in law, literally. She calls me Raleigh Bloomclaire Burkes West.
"Yup. My Dad works late nights on Wednesday's so you're good," he said, grabbing my hand with the lollipop, putting it in his mouth, and sucking on my lollipop. He took it from his lips, and I placed my cavity-on-a stick back in my mouth.
"Today's Wednesday?" I asked him, confused with a sarcastic smile on my face.
"No, babe, it's Friday," he said and looking at me and smirked.
"Really?" I sang, pulling my lollipop from my mouth.
"No, it's Monday," he turned to me and smiled. My shoulders dropped and I sucked on my lollipop. Great, five more days till Saturday. I frowned at myself and let my head fall against the back of the passenger's seat, feeling Justin's eyes on me, probably trying to read me again, which he's fantastically creepy at. We've been together long enough for us to reach each other and no problem needed.
