Chapter Twenty. *Raleigh's Diary*

1802 Words
Wish I Had A Twin During lunch, we sat at our regular table and Gabe kept moisturizing his hands every few often. Chloe was still angry about Mom dragging her down to her and Dad's friend's wedding. I felt sorry for her but then again, I don't. Oliver and Ivan were exchanging notes again from another class and a future class and they were writing crazy fast. We have twenty minutes left of lunch and I was bored out of my mind. "Hay, Burkes, and West's!" Called Cooper before sitting in between Aiden and Oliver. "How's life? So, are any of you guys coming to me and Jameson's party Friday?" Cooper has brown pixie hair and green eyes, that drives all the girls, except me, Chloe and Eve. Zooey's crazy about him but not like how she is with Grent Bribury. "We might," Zooey said and looked over at me and smiled. "Good, cause Jameson is dying for you guys to be there," Cooper smiling at me and Chloe. "Why are you here?" The words spilled from Dylan's mouth. Dylan's not a crazed fan about Jameson or Cooper. None of us really are. We barely like Liilian or Brea; they're both annoying and stupidly foggy heads. "A guy can't sit with his schoolmates?" He smiled at Chloe. "No," Gabe and Dylan said in unison. "Well, that's harsh," Jameson cut in and sitting between Dylan and Kaden. Jameson is another one with brown hair and green eyes with a shade of brown which we find odd. But his hair is quiffed like Justin Bieber was before the bad crowd. Great. No one cared that if it was harsh or not, when we don't like you, we'll tell you. In fact, I will even show you. Everyone is crazy about Cooper and Jameson, we, are not. "Usually, you guys are pretty cool to hang out with," Cooper says. "Don't lie to yourself," I spoke, "as much as I don't want to be at y’alls party as much as you buttcheeks want me there." "You're the life of the party, man," Jameson says my way. "You and Gabe. especially you," still pointing my way. "Then next time have your priorities right and maybe I'll chime in for a bit," I said. "Wow, little sister is feisty," Cooper muttered his breath. "Yeah, and don't think that she won't attack you," Chloe says cutting herself in. Cooper and Jameson looked at me and I gave them a smile, while nodding at them. Twenty minutes left of lunch I started to get bored. Jameson and Cooper dragged their bookbag and tray to our table and made themselves comfortable. Although I found myself singing the song that me and Chloe and my brothers used to sing when we were little. "I like to eat, eat, eat apple and benenees. I like to eat, eat, eat apples and benenees," I said singing the song that me and Chloe made up when we were little. "Rale's, we're not kids anymore," Chloe reminds me. "Justin," I shake Beverly's brother's shoulders. "Rale's we can't keep doing this every time there's nothing exciting going on it your head. Go bother Brea, or something," Justin says studying his paper but I could tell that he wasn't reading. "Justy," I called his name again, dragging it from my mouth as if was a piece of venom. "What's wrong with your sister?" Cooper said. My brothers and Justin looked up from their books, food and papers. No one spoke to him, answering his question. Chloe, looks up, blinking, "you're asking me?" Chloe gives Justin a look, like; "hell no, I'm not taking part in whatever the fudge you think you or I'm doing." Which meant that my dear sister was planning something evil. 2 minutes pass. 4 minutes pass. 8 minutes pass. "I like to ate, ate, ate gurpes and tobraidoes..." I started to sing again. "Raleigh!" Chloe called my name getting annoyed. "I like to ope, ope, ope, opples and bononos..." "Raleighー... You're mixing up your vowels and why are you mixing up the vowels?" Ivan asked slamming his book shut and leaning on it for support and looking at me. Now, he and Logan and Aiden were just looking at me. I cross my arms on the table and drop my chin on them. "I'm bored." Everyone immediately freezes. Chloe looks up at me with wide eyes and twisting the pen in her hand. "What did you just say?" Chloe says slowly. Everyone at the table looked at one another with terror in their eyes. Silence killed the table and all you could hear was the overlapped voices of the other students in the room. "Run for your lives!" Kaden scoops up his belongings and is already halfway to the exit. Justin watched as my brothers and Chloe scatter from the table like roaches scatter when a light is turned on in a room. Justin Gabe, Zooey, and Beverly didn't move, only Jameson and Cooper sat stuck and looked at me. I wrapped an arm between Jameson's arm. "Why'd they run?" Jameson spoke asking Justin. One corner of my mouth slides up in a mischievous grin. "It doesn't matter. I have the grip of a python." Blinking, Jameson tries to take back his arm, that in fact he can barely move. "Now, I see why they ditched us," Jameson says looking at me with wide eyes. "You're crazy." Cooper out of nowhere chokes on his Mountain Dew. "Dude, Chloe must've put something in my Mountain Dew," Cooper says holding his head in his hands and leaning halfway over over in his seat. "And why Chloe ditched." Justin looked at me and raises his eyebrows at me and Beverly just sat chewing her string cheese slowly. "Actually, one of us did that," Eve mumbled into her iced tea. Jameson and Cooper looked at Justin and then Beverly. "Well, I did get the brains," Justin spoke. Beverly looked at her brother with fury in her eyes. "Well, what'd I get then?" she asked her twin brother. "The looks," Justin said. "We look the same, Justin," Beverly says. "Yeah, exactly, so we got the brains and the looks." "Which reminds me to ask you guys," Cooper says. "How long have you guys been sharing life." He was asking Justin and Beverly about their twin thing. "Since middle school," Beverly spoke. "We shared the same womb, cribs, beds, rooms. Until we hit middle school." "Wish I had a twin," Cooper says smiling. "No, you don't," Justin and Beverly spoke quickly. "You try sharing everything with that person and watch yourself go bonkers." "No, kidding, that's me everyday," Jameson said. ●●● Placing a book between us, Chloe flipped to a page marked with a pink ribbon. On one page was a mannequin dressed in a pink dress with pink heels. Chloe smiled looking proud of her work. She looked up and smiled at Jameson and Cooper. A few minutes after they left, Justin dragged Chloe back into the cafeteria by her book bag strap which caused only eight of my brothers to follow them. For a second Gabe wasn't too sure but he knew if there was me involved independently with Cooper or Jameson, he'd drop everything to come join the little club. "So the girls are going dressed as Elle and the boys are going dressed as well, whoever they want to go as," Chloe said smiling at them. "Brea, LeeLee and Lilly are going as planned," Chloe looked down at the book and looked up smiling, "Casper. But instead of them being Casper the friendly ghost, they're going as Breliillian, the bitchiest ghosts." Jameson and Cooper looked at each other and looked at the book. Breliillian written out as Bre-Lii-lian. Only Chloe would give them a sour name. "They are never going to like you," Cooper said. We don't want to be liked by them, that's the idea, I'm sure that's the idea that Chloe would want from them. "That's the plan," Chloe said, "the real girls are Elle Wood, and the fakes like Brea, LeeLee and Lilly are the Breliilians." Aaron and my brothers jaws dropped and the food dropped from their mouths and their water and juice didn't make it down their throat. "If they don't like it they can always hit the road," I said, taking a fry from Ivan's tray and dipping it in the French dressing, a habit that he and I developed after Ivan could spell his name. That's what Mom and Dad, and the Burkes crew members said.  Only five of my brothers said that Ivan was improvising when he spilt all of the ketchup on Mom's good rug and decided that French dressing was a good mixture for the ketchup mistake. Mom and Dad later found out and the rest is history. "I'm not gonna let my best friends dress up in a Casper the friendly ghost costume," Cooper said. "Or even let them dress up as the Breliilians." Cooper and Jameson were gonna fall for my dear sister's ideas sooner or later. Everyone always does, and you'd think that I was the rebel of the family? Nope, it can be Chloe sometimes. "You guys can always do it," Chloe said, "or I can tell them what y'all did to LeeLee's dog." Justin and Aiden and Kaden laughed and put their heads in the hands and lunch trays. "You wouldn't?" Cooper and Jameson said in unison, not she had their attention. Chloe and me smiled at them. "Try us," we said in unison, and leaned our heads towards each other. I could sense that Chloe was smiling at them just as I am. Jameson and Cooper scratched their heads and Cooper took a fry from off of Oliver's tray. Oliver pushed his tray to Cooper. "Fine, what do we do?" Jameson asked Chloe and Cooper looked at me. Chloe and I pushed the book towards them and smiled. "Anything that'll keep y'alls mouths shut," Cooper said. "That's the spirit," Gabe said smiling at them, "now go get dressed, ladies." Jameson and Cooper gave him a frustrated look at Gabe and took a picture of the book with their phones. Me and Chloe gave them a thank you smile and watched them leave the table. Zooey turned to me, "how can you live with yourself? Both of you?" "Look around," I said. "We live with eight boys." "But how can you guys deal with that?" Zooey said. "With them?" I looked at Aaron and then to the twins, smiling. "Hay, like I always say, "eight sack of balls in one house can really pay off," I said smirking. They looked at me and preceded with walking away with their faces full of questions and concern.
