Chapter Thirteen. *Chloe's Diary*

2047 Words
Be Careful What You Wish For Mom would always say, "be careful what you wish for." Me? I'm just the complete opposite of what she said. Maybe I can be a little hard headed at times but they are for good reasons. Like I wished that Raleigh would be the last one. Wish granted. Raleigh would never bring home a Chicken for the long time that her and Justin's been together. Another wish granted. And last but not least, that both of my brothers will go to college and stay in college. Wish granted, almost. I have many more to come, but that maybe take up this entire book. Raleigh looked angry and upset about the whole thing with helping the Burkes' Squad, Gabe is the one that I'm worried about and my parents and Gemma and Axilla should be worried about him and Raleigh as well, especially Gabe. I eyeballed my dear "sweet" sister and watched my dear "hard-headed ass" older brother eye murder Raleigh. As the first daughter of Connie and Kenneth Burkes, I assume that these two—Gabe and Rale's—will always wanna kill one another if the other pisses the other one off. Those two are like CatDog but the opposite, and just want to kill each other. "I can always back out on you," Raleigh said, now threatening Gabe. "No you can't, once a PB always a PB," Gabe said. "You said it yourself "you were born to do PB." " "I never said that," Raleigh said trying to play it off. Gabe rolled his eyes at her and put two hands up as if to choke Raleigh but choked the air between us. Zooey clicked her tongue and Justin who held his sister in his grasp now had his grasp around Raleigh. "You're lucky we're related, or I'd kill you," Gabe says pointing a finger at Raleigh. She shrugged her shoulders at him and gave her pouted lip smile. "Even if we weren't related, you'd still kill me," Raleigh said recreating his words. Gabe nodded and grabbed the closest thing to him—Raleigh's hair blower—that he could find. Zooey and I quickly grabbed it from him and Zooey moved it aside while I held him back by my arm. "Just remember that Mom and Dad are going to be back before the game," Gabe says opening the door and walking out and Dylan walking in, video camera in hand, and smiling like a psychopath. I looked at him and Raleigh was already about to murder him with her hair dryer, which Justin and I quickly grabbed from her. Now, Raleigh will definitely hurt Dylan. "Hose down, Rale's," Dylan said smiling holding up the camera. "The Dylan B fans love a good title from the main character. You." He looked up from over the camera, still holding the device in place and never moved it an inch. "Now, give me one big happy smile and say "hi." Raleigh growled under her breath at him making him back off. "Or growl into the camera, whatever works for you. See you at dinner." Dylan closed his camera and left the room. Raleigh turned to me still in Justin's grip. "Don't give me that look, I had no idea he was coming in," I said. Raleigh let her body fall forward on her bed face being buried in her sheets and pillows. Justin slowly reached over and patted her on the back, and massaging her which made her mumble, "that feels nice" into her pillows and blankets. Beverly made herself comfortable and walked to Raleigh's walk-in kitchen and came out sucking on a freeze pop from the freezer and a can of coke. "Even if you did, you wouldn't say a word," Raleigh said, looking up at me. She's right I wouldn't but when it comes to something that's not her fault I will say something. Raleigh is still my innocent little sister introduced to a sinning gig, but she's still my sister and I need her as much as she needs me. "You guys wanna go out for pizza?" Zooey butt in feeling the room grow tense under Raleigh's gaze at me. "I know a place," Raleigh said getting up from her bed and grabbing her phone and buzzed Leo to "hide the glass lions" which is Axilla, Adam and Gemma. Justin grabbed his keys and the door opened revealing Trisha. Her blonde hair cut in a bob and her dark turquoise eyes eyeballing us. "I'd ask and I'd let, but I'll lose my job," Trisha said. "Leo said to come down quickly." And with that she left the room, and Zooey ran out behind her and went down the hallway and called after the boys. Raleigh already had her shoes on and was heading out the door with the twins leaving me. I went out after them and I felt myself being pulled down the hallway away from where Zooey went. I turned seeing Dylan, Gabe and Ivan. They pulled me down the stairs and out the door and into the van which was packed with teenagers. Leo was already in the car and Trisha had to tell Adam about us, but we trust Uncle Adam. Aiden alerted Connie our regular everyday waitress and Phillip's sister to have our booth reserved do us until we pull up. We pulled out front of Phillip's Pizza Palace; I told Leo and hour, and I walked in behind Oliver we took our usual seats at one of the largest booths in the back. Justin and Eve and Raleigh sat together, and the rest of us had to squeeze in. Connie sat at her her post and looked up at us and smiled. "You guys bought the whole class," she said smiling. She looked at me and knew that Gabe and Raleigh did something so she grabbed her composition book and pen. "What can I get you guys?" "Be simple with her," I called out to anyone who was gonna order for us. "We'll have four vegetarian pizzas with the mushrooms on one quarter of the pizzas, olives on another quarter that overlaps half of the mushrooms quarter and green bell-peppers on another quarter of the pizzas that covers part of the mushroom and part of the olive. And then the other half of the pizza will just be regular vegetarian. Oh, and six Italian sodas, three strawberry, two kiwi-strawberry, and two large orange-kiwi-strawberries," Oliver tells the waitress Connie. She stares at him and so do we and half of the employees and customers here. I face-palmed myself on the head and groan at myself. "Could you repeat that for me, please?" Connie said still holding the pen in place in her compo book. Dylan repeated the order maybe once or twice at him and he even drew a picture of what he wanted it to look like. For Dylan to be pretty good in math like me, he made it simple for her but head hurting for the rest of us. "What do you want to drink?" Connie, the waiter asked looking over at us. "The blood of my enemies," Aiden said. Long silence. "Is Pepsi okay?" Connie said looking up at us, but her eyes looking at me. No one said a thing, not even I didn't say anything to her. "Coke or Pepsi?" Dylan repeated again and turned to Connie asking her, and looking up at us. "Honestly, I can't tell the god forsaken difference," Gabe said. He looked happy, with that annoying you-can-never-overlook-smile on his face. "Pepsi," Dylan said and sat back down in his seat next to Beverly. Connie nodded and ripped out the page cleanly and gave it to the chefs in the back. The look on his face, his eyebrow raised and his eyes grew and he looked up at our table, connecting with my eyes. His eyes grew again when he saw the full booth of teens. "Yes, we are serious!" Raleigh called out at him, catching her eyes with his. Chef guy turned and shook his head. "So, who's going to Cooper's party?" Zooey asked looking at me Raleigh and Raleigh's eyes shot over at me. "My only sister," she said, making me want to jump across the table and choke the daylights out of her, but her grip would be stronger than me. "Chloe would make the perfect Barbie. She's tall, slim, and—" "Shut up, Raleigh," Ivan called out to her. I thanked him mentally for shutting her up. "Maybe none of should go," he went on. "Raleigh's grounded and Chloe's not a fan of partying." "Not yet," Aaron says, and smiles at me, giving me that creepy smile that Gabe does when he has an idea. Oliver chuckled and started to mess with the strap of one our pizza menus. "It'd be pretty awesome to have another partier in the family," Logan said and Aiden and Kaden nodding at him. "We'd have a female and a male partier." "There's too many of us to become partiers," I said, and everyone turning to me, giving the "shut the hell up, Chloe" look which I get a lot. They turned back to Logan and went back to talking about the partier and the new partier of the clique. "If Raleigh can't go and Chloe won't, then this is was a bad idea," Beverly says. "You think?" I said. No one looked at me or agreed with me. And this is all because I'm the good child. The good seed, if there's even a such thing. "God, we just need someone to go," Eve said. "I went to go take Raleigh's name off but the list was gone." Great, now I just need is Cooper and ass wort Blur to come in and asking if we're going to their party. "Hey, Burkes! Y'all coming to our party?!" Jameson called out pulling a chair from the other table beside us and making himself comfortable in the chair. Cooper did the same thing and sat beside his jackwagon best friend. Spoke too soon. "I knew we'd find y'all here," Cooper said smiling at us, his eyes falling on me. Go away, jerk chicken. "Yeah, we'll be there," Gabe spoke up. We all turned to him with a "what the f**k" look and turned back to Jameson and Cooper. "Sweet we'll see y'all there," Cooper said and walked out leaving the chairs on place with Jameson behind him. "I wish I had a sister that could go with me to the party," Raleigh said. Of course she'd ignore her punishment and take off with the wrong crowd. "Only if I knew a girl, with the brains of a God, hazel eyes and blonde hair and her name rhymes with showy." Raleigh looked at me and smiled. "Okay, fine I'll go with you," I called out at her and she squealed and pulled me in for a hug, squeezing me. She fanned me a thousand times, while the guys stared at me like I was crazy, and I'm too late to take it back. Gabe smiled and gave me two thumbs up and so did Justin who smiled at me. Raleigh broke the hug, "we won't let you down," she said smiling. "What do you mean "we"?" I asked her. She smiled and I looked at my brothers and friends at our table. "Who said that we weren't going?" Logan asked me and gave me the same smile that Gabe and Raleigh gave me. Yup, it is definitely too little too late to back down. I've let myself talk myself into getting myself in trouble with myself. I should kill myself. "I can't get out of this, can I?" I said out loud. No one answered but Raleigh kept her smile on mope and shook her head. "Nope," Raleigh said smiling at me. "Once you're in, you're in. All you have to do is dress slutty to fit in." I almost choked on my own breath at the same time I forgot that I was breathing, I think I forgot how to breath at this point. "Jumpin’ Jeepers, I think I'm turning into my sister," I said to myself and let a smile appear on my face for my sister.
