Chapter 2 (First Dance)

The field demonstration day is here. Everyone is excited, they are all prepared, all the students are wearing their costumes and girls are wearing make-up, boys look so good in their different costumes. The entire quadrangle is decorated with a lot of things made by the students. It looked more lively than the other days before the event. The principal stood in front of the students and made her speech. She was also excited about announcing to the presenters that there would be prizes for the winners. The students were shocked and so happy to hear it, they couldn't believe that the principal would have a surprise prize for their presentation, which motivated the students, even more, to give all their best to win the prizes. "Where's Diane?" Sheena asked the girls.

"We don't know. Has she not arrived yet?"

"I don't know I haven't seen her. She's been so quiet since yesterday morning after the flag ceremony."

"You're just overthinking Sheena, she'll show up later. Stop worrying now."

Diane's POV

How dare she betray me? She even made a promise that she can't even keep! What a loser. I'll show her what it is like to cheat on me. It was my first time not having the energy to work with any of the school staff, but I needed to show up and tell the girls how gross Karl was.

“Diane!! Girl, where have you been? It’s been hours. We will perform soon.”

“I just didn’t feel well this morning, I’ll just.. Prepare myself quickly. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine Sheena.”

Diane’s POV

I could hear someone whispering, but I just ignored it, focusing on changing my outfit for the presentation. The changing room is quiet, making the whisper even louder.

“Stop it, Kendrick!” I was so shocked to hear it, I know it is the one I’ve been rooting to meet today. I went out of the room straight away and headed to the school corridor where the sound was coming from. And my world stopped, everything around me turned black, my entire body was shaking, my eyes suddenly filled with tears that forced me to cry out loud when I saw Karl and Kendrick kissing each other.

“What are you doing?! Are you out of your mind?!”

“Why? we’re dating, right?”

When Kendrick uttered those words my world turned black and I didn’t know what happened next.

“Diane!! Wake up!!”

“Diane! Are you okay?! Wake up please.”

“Diane?”

When I heard his voice, I came to my senses and started to feel so dizzy and the heat around me. Everyone is staring down at me!! I stood up quickly and tried to look presentable as Kendrick was sitting beside me looking worried, but that moment didn’t last for long.

“She’s fine guys”

“Oh thank god you’re fine Diane,”

After Sheena said that Kendrick let go of my hand and dragged Karl in front of me, I could see her looking back at me, looking completely worried.

Karl's POV

As I saw her faint, I already knew that I was the reason. Kendrick's action shouldn't be tolerated and for that I am guilty. But what else can I do? I am trapped by his shitty blackmail.

"Where are you taking me, Kendrick?!"

"Somewhere quiet, where there's just the two of us."

"Why?!"

While I forcefully let his hand go.

"Just stop being stubborn. I want to tell you something that I've been dying to tell you from the moment I first saw you."

That made me curious after hearing it, "Did I hear him right?" I thought.

"What is it?! Is that the reason why you're doing all this?!"

"Okay! Calm down and let me explain. I know you I am that bad boy who loves to break girls' hearts, but I am here in front of you taking all the risks, that might affect my image as the bad boy of the campus, who did not just fall in love, but have fallen deeply in love with you Karl." That moment listening to him utter those words made me feel weak, dizzy like I am floating in the air.
